| Personal History | Lisa was born to Edvin & Astrid Olsson in Malmö, Sweden. Three years later, her brother Nils was born. Given that both of her parents were engineers, Lisa was immersed in technology and tools from a very young age. By the time she attended High School, she had already mastered components and circuits that went into making a basic replicator. By the time she entered Starfleet Academy at 18, she could build a working transporter. But it was her passion for tactics and out-manoeuvring that stood out to her parents and her teachers. During her time at the Academy, Lisa met a fellow student called Sven Andersson. There was an instant attraction between the two, as Sven was from Uppsala and also Swedish. However, despite being a couple throughout the first and second year of the academy, Lisa broke it off with him. She wanted to concentrate on her career and considered him a distraction. After four years at Starfleet Academy, she graduated with distinction, earning herself an Assistant Tactical post on the USS Thunderclap. It was whilst posted on the Thunderclap that her interest in security started blossom. She took up half a dozen martial arts from all across the Federation to ensure she could tackle any problem and studied for an extra degree in security enforcement. By the time she transferred to DS9, she had fully completed her security qualifications. Constable Odo, Chief of station security accepted her as part of his Bajoran/Starfleet security detail; something she remains extremely proud of even to this day. |
