Welcome to the USS Washington-E!
Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

I congratulate our winners. Well-earned awards, and great work by everyone.

The first half of the year ended with us wrapping one mission and starting a new one, and it seems that everyone has taken to the new mission and writing is prolific again. While July is a special month for the ship and the fleet as a whole, we can't ignore what happened in June. I thank everyone for great work and look forward to seeing what else we'll see happen in this mission that everyone seems to be getting in on. Below are the awards for June. As always, congrats to all our winners, and good luck as you…

It always seems to come around quickly, and so it is that another month has passed into the history books. May was another good month as a whole, with lots of posting, the end of one mission, the start of another, and at the end of the month, the welcoming of two new players. As we move into the summer, historically the best time for simming, things look like they are moving full speed ahead for the crew of the Washington.
Below you will find the monthly awards. I wish to congratulate all our winners. It was a great month,…

Mission: Holding Pattern Hijinks
Posted on Wed Aug 20th, 2025 @ 3:42pm by Lieutenant JG Benjamin "Ben" Dalton
Ben was alone in the quarters he and Kate shared and that wasn't good. Being alone meant he had time to think about all that had happened along with dealing with what might happen. he was in his wheelchair looking down at his new legs, his real legs sliced away as he protected Kate. Did he regret his decision? Indeed not. He would do it all over again to keep Kate safe.
However now, sitting by himself doubts crept into his mind. Would Kate continue to say with him or would she find someone new, someone undamaged. The rational part…

Mission: Holding Pattern Hijinks
Posted on Sun Aug 17th, 2025 @ 11:21pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar
The Washington had just arrived in the Denali system, ahead of schedule for their rendezvous with the Kobayashi for a resupply. As they had nowhere to be, Shran had given the crew the opportunity to seek out a little R&R aboard the ship. It wasn't what he wanted to give them, but a stop at Risa just wasn't in the cards at this time.
Shran looked forward to taking some time for himself. He knew much of the crew needed it more than he did though. It had been several weeks since the incident with his Mirror and his army…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sun Aug 17th, 2025 @ 8:56pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar
Shran entered the brig, Cmdr Smith and his entire unit standing guard along with Ayana and the standard security officer on duty, in this case a Tellerite warrant officer named Grog. It was still strange for Shran to see his mirror opposite, like meeting a twin you never knew existed. But they both knew about each other, both had met one another on several occasions, and despite having him incarcerated, Shran somehow knew he would see his opposite again at some future encounter, likely when he least expected.

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sun Aug 17th, 2025 @ 7:56pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Commander Samantha Howard & Lieutenant Commander Shoniara T’ghann-Travis MD & Lieutenant Inara Senn & Lieutenant Viviana Del Rio
Inara read a PADD on a biobed. "Let's see here. Oh, my goddesses. They're not actually doing it. They're going to ignore all my research and claim time is linear again. Those Vulcan Science Academy twits." She waited for the last medic to leave the room, then she moved towards the replicator. Black Coffee was only three feet away.
Shon, occupying the next biobed woke to hear Inara's voice. She was in pain and, as such snapped a little too loudly, "not supposed to have coffee Inara, anyway, how are you feeling?"
Dr Michael Tarsis, a recent Academy graduate who…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sun Aug 17th, 2025 @ 7:36pm by Lieutenant JG Kate Kono
Kate stepped into the holodeck once more, a place that had swiftly become her sanctuary. The room transformed into her personal escape, a gateway to a fabricated world where she could soar as a fighter pilot, an experience that sharpened her concentration like nothing else. She walked towards her beloved aircraft, the F-16C, Block 50. Its sleek, aerodynamic form gleamed under the simulated sunlight, a testament to its engineering marvel. Though it didn't boast the highest thrust among fighter jets, there was an undeniable allure in its all-around reliability, setting it apart from the Block 52 variant with its Pratt…

Captain's Log
Supplemental
We have once again encountered the mythic Earth deities, this time the Celtic deities alone. We were studying a stellar core fragment when we discovered a planet in its path. As we approached the planet, we learned that it was inhabited, but more remarkably, the core fragment wasn't causing the planet any issues which was strange.
The planet was inhabited by humans. These humans were originally from Earth, Ireland specifically, and their ancestors had been brought to the planet by the Celtic gods roughly a millennia ago. Upon an away team beaming down which I joined, we…

Having arrived at my new home abord the USS Washington, I find it to be both different and yet the same as my time spent on Rock at the Academy.
My first few moments here were met with the same comments as my first few moments on Rock. Though at that time there were four other of my fellows with me as we began our new life in the Academy Consortium. And the universal translators given us by the humans did not successfully translate the negativity of the words the humans had for us. Now, after we have had time…
