Welcome to the USS Washington-E!

Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

November has come and gone, and as is normal with the holiday season starting, it slowed up our posting. I totally understand why things slowed though. As we enter December and the heart of the holidays, I know we all will spend more time with family, but I hope you will all have some fun writing here as well. Below you will find the November Awards. I congratulate our winners and wish them luck as they represent the ship at the fleet level.

Trick or treat! Well, that was a few days ago, but yes, October is over, so time to look at the month and discuss what we all did. Honestly, it was a solid month. The current mission has a fun and interesting main story, and the undercurrent subplot has been equally as interesting, as they seem to be naturally sewing themselves together. Nearly everyone had at least one post in October, and most had at least 5 posts. We were all working on group work it seems, so no solo posts to look at this month. Hopefully November will be…

Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Posted on Wed Jan 7th, 2026 @ 9:11am by Lieutenant Aidan O'Connor & Chief Petty Officer Aaron Geiger

It had been 24 hours since the plasma fire and computer virus was discovered. The damaged had been contained, and with a little elbow grease, and two full additional engineering teams, the repair and maintenance work was nearly complete.

=^=Chief, how things going? You and Lawrence have all that work complete? =^= Aidan questioned over the comm.

=^= "Attaching the last of the bulkhead covers now sir." =^= Aaron replied, an audible clunk passing over the comm line. He nodded to the Ensign as they began to push their cart back to the main room, filled with damaged components that…

Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Posted on Tue Jan 6th, 2026 @ 1:13pm by Ensign Kevin Mitchell & Ensign Aidan "A.J." Reid

Since the meeting on Risa, AJ had beamed back aboard the Washington, located his quarters, and donned his uniform. He spent the interim researching Lieutenant Commander Tapping, making a bit of headway—until his console beeped. He’d learned that Kevin had been in his quarters that morning when Kate found the bikini top in the sand. Putting two and two together, AJ’s suspicions shifted toward Kevin. He still couldn’t explain why the bra was there, but Tapping was an intelligence operative like they were—and Kevin was the odd variable.

When the door slid open, AJ wasn’t surprised to find Kevin standing…

Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Posted on Tue Jan 6th, 2026 @ 10:29am by Lieutenant JG Kate Kono & Ensign Aidan "A.J." Reid

Ensign AJ, a towering Jamaican man with sun-kissed dreadlocks cascading over broad shoulders, had to bend at the waist to clear the gleaming access hatch of the USS Washington. His red Starfleet uniform stretched taut across his muscular frame as he straightened, eyes sweeping the pristine corridor. Though thirty years had etched fine lines around his eyes, he carried his late-career ensign rank with unmistakable dignity.

He raised a hand to halt a passing crewman, his voice rich as Jamaican rum when he spoke. "Ey, star boy! Mi a look fi di Chief Intelligence Officer office, ya know? Which part…

Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Posted on Mon Jan 5th, 2026 @ 12:20pm by Lieutenant JG Kate Kono & Ensign Kevin Mitchell

Kevin watched Kate’s uneven stride as she stepped onto the beach. Knowing exactly what she and Ben had been up to all night, he fought the urge to roll his eyes. He did like Kate—up to a point—so the jealousy was real, but he kept it professional. Section 31 was scrutinizing his every move, and between his ties to Cardassian Intelligence and his side dealings selling Romulan secrets for profit, any slip‐up could cost him everything. He’d told his real boss as much: Kate was practically a Girl Scout in ethics, and operatives hated that innocence. She had talent in…

Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Posted on Mon Jan 5th, 2026 @ 3:49am by Ensign Janelle Barett

Janelle Barett sat atop a wooden packing crate in the cramped little space of the shuttle that was delivering her, along with supplies, to Risa where the USS Washington was berthed.

"Sorry for the less than comfortable seating arrangements. I don't normally carry live cargo on these runs." The chubby little man at the helm called over his shoulder.

"Quite alright, I have been in worse situations." Janelle replied politely. Although, after much thought, she couldn't remember ever having a more cramped shuttle ride.

"If it makes you feel any better, we are about an hour from Risa." 'Chubby' said…

Computer, start recording:-

I have now been on board for several days, still I have not seen nor reported to the Sinkahue or Grayson. My mind is much conflicted with these new orders from my High Command, just how they expect me to continue with my duties while remaining apart from all Federation personnel is something I at this time fail to see as possible.

It is almost as if they want this collaboration to collapse into failure, maybe the section of our Council which is pushing for us to end all contact with the Federation has finally turned the…

Captain's Log

After several weeks and a few interesting encounters, we have returned to Federation space. I managed to convince StarFleet to give us a few days at Risa. Of course, StarFleet didn't just grant us a simple leave. They tasked us with providing the normal maintenance work to the weather control grid on Risa, which my engineers are now working on. Lt O'Connor has voiced a complaint that StarFleet needs to base an engineering team here fulltime to better maintain the grid, which he indicates has been severely neglected.

The first round of transports down to the planet have…

Captain's Log
Supplemental

We have once again encountered the mythic Earth deities, this time the Celtic deities alone. We were studying a stellar core fragment when we discovered a planet in its path. As we approached the planet, we learned that it was inhabited, but more remarkably, the core fragment wasn't causing the planet any issues which was strange.

The planet was inhabited by humans. These humans were originally from Earth, Ireland specifically, and their ancestors had been brought to the planet by the Celtic gods roughly a millennia ago. Upon an away team beaming down which I joined, we…
