The Science of Colonial Terraforming

The Washington is the lead vessel for a colonial transport mission to create a new colony on the recently terraformed world of New Xindus III. The world is a class-M world now similar to Earth, seeded with multiple species from Earth, notably whales, dolphins, sharks, penguins, gorillas, lions, tigers, bears, deer, several bird and insect species, and the resurrected species of herbivore dinosaurs on a small island near the largest continent. The colonies being established include a human colony that includes a group of Denobulan medical and scientific personnel, and two Xindi colonies; an aquatic colony, and a coastal colony that is made up of Xindi Primates and Arboreals. Things start off fine, but issues begin to crop up.
