ON

Over the last two Earth months, life had been difficult for Imik. Her close friend had been killed in an accident, Sha-Rathshu Meculin De'Rethan had been on an attachment with the Tholians, somehow an old Federation warp core the Tholians were using ruptured and an explosion followed. But Meculin had remained and slowed the rupture while the Tholians were beamed out, but alas they could not lock on and beam her out before complete failure occurred. How ironic that she died defending and saving Tholians when once she had fought them for her freedom and that of her people, imik's head slowly bowed as she thought of her friend.

Now Imik's vessel sat in orbit of a pleasure planet, Risa. This to was ironic to her, as she saw no reason to visit or indulge in such frivolity. But then she had not been on board the Washington, and much had happened to ship and crew. She had been recalled for debriefing and retraining, her attitude had altered far to much for the High Commands liking. So recall had been ordered and she as a good Ojnas obeyed, leaving friends to carry her duties. The return was now to be handled by her, could she, would she be able to resume her own duties or would the Federation consider her retraining a security risk?

Imik had not reported to the Sinkahue as yet, nor had she seen Grayson. Both were otherwise engaged in what was called R&R, from what she had heard both needed this thing badly. Thus she sat meditating in her cabin, like a good Ojnas as she had been trained to do. No more fraternising with Humans or Federation species that would lead her astray from the High Commands will, no more learning Federation ways that were against Ojnas rules and regulations. She was to observe and report, nothing else. She had strayed to far and had been brought to heel strictly and firmly, she doubted even Sachzny would have put up much of fight with the methods used against her.

How would her one time crewmates react to the new Imik? Would they understand that she was now obeying Ojnas High Command orders not Star Fleet or Shran's orders, in fact would Sinkahue Shran want her back with all the new orders she had to obey? Would Grayson wish her to remain on board if she cut herself off from everyone as ordered? How could she perform her duties if she was not to interact with Star Fleet personnel? Life had changed as she herself had changed, things looked black and very uncertain for both Imik and her continuing on the Washington.
