Mission: Shore Leave on Risa
Location: Risa - Weather Control Station

It had been 24 hours since the plasma fire and computer virus was discovered. The damaged had been contained, and with a little elbow grease, and two full additional engineering teams, the repair and maintenance work was nearly complete.

=^=Chief, how things going? You and Lawrence have all that work complete? =^= Aidan questioned over the comm.

=^= "Attaching the last of the bulkhead covers now sir." =^= Aaron replied, an audible clunk passing over the comm line. He nodded to the Ensign as they began to push their cart back to the main room, filled with damaged components that they had replaced.

As the Chief and Ens Lawrence entered the main room he looked to everyone present. "We have earned ourselves some time off folks. Captain approved 48 leave for everyone involved in this little endeavor. So, effective 5 minutes ago, we all have two days of fun and sun here on Risa, along with whatever other distractions we might find. Enjoy yourselves."

Aidan looked to the Chief, "This includes you too Chief. No hiding away on the ship. Captain wants everyone to rest up down here. I'm guessing that means we will be heading into something once we leave."

"Aye sir." Aaron replied with compliance. "I've had my eyes on a quiet island bungalow with its own dock for the last few weeks." He said moving the final ruined components into the recycler. "Did you know that the local analogue to Tuna is bioluminescent?"

Aidan looked to the Chief, "Is that a fact? Go catch your fill Chief. You've earned it." He looked over at Kapowski and Lawrence, "Either of you ladies interested in enjoying the local customs. I hear there is a place close by where we can all have a good time, enjoy the local customs and such. Two days of Jamaharon sounds good to me."

"Let's get something to drink first. Jamaharon can be thirsty work" Kapowski quipped.

"Aye lass, I am betting it is at that" Aidan replied.

"Officers." Aaron chuckled to himself. "I'll see you all in two days to turn wrenches and fix things the other departments swear was working ten minutes ago." Aaron departed, making his way for the transport center. Shore leave was never something he looked forward to, despite outward appearances. Keeping busy kept his mind off things, off of the war, and those he left behind.
