Good News

Posted on Thu Jan 13th, 2022 @ 8:17pm by Lieutenant JG Eislyn Jortho & Lieutenant Callie Raven-Grayson

Mission: Respite
Location: USS Washington

Eislyn entered sickbay, her disposition was cheery. She stopped and spoke with one of the duty nurses before making her way over to Callie. "Good morning Callie. Hopefully you are feeling better today."

Callie offered Eislyn a warm smile. “I definitely feel more like myself today.”

"Happy to hear it. I have some good news for you." Eislyn paused allowing the anticipation build ever so slightly. "You are clear to return to your quarters."

“Seriously?” Callie’s expression lit up at that news. “That’s definitely good news! I’ve missed being at home.”

"Well, as soon as the nurse gives you a once over you will be able to leave. I want you to take it easy of course. You will still be off duty for at least the next few days. I spoke with the captain and he agrees that you should take advantage of this down time we have to recuperate, perhaps take a trip to the arboretum or enjoy some fun activity in the holodeck. The station also has some enjoyable features you can make use of, including a museum."

Callie nodded. “To be honest I don’t plan on going anywhere alone, if Jon is able then I’ll go with him or with Dex, but I’m not ready to venture anywhere alone just yet.”

Eislyn gave an understanding nod. "I certainly can understand that. I'll be around should you need the company."

Callie smiled. “Perhaps we could meet up for a more social reason instead of a counseling session? Right now I’d like to get my life back on track instead of wallowing in what’s happened to me.”

"Sounds like a plan to me. Let me know what you want to do and when and I'll happily meet you." Eislyn tapped on the computer console adjacent to the biobed. "You are officially cleared by me. Why don't you go see your family."

Callie nodded. “Ohh I plan to!” She smiled as she slid down off the biobed and set about sorting her things to take home.
