Medicinal Purposes

Mission:
Unto Darkness, Light
Location: USS Washington
Shran and Estella exited the captain's yacht. Shran had transported the bag of poppies to Samantha in sickbay with orders to liquify them to form a medicinal tonic to be given to every member of the crew, starting with the telepathic members. He headed to the bridge to get an update on the situation and if necessary, to undo any damage he might have caused himself while under the influence of the telepathic aliens.
1 Hour Later
Shran entered sickbay looking for Samantha. He knew he needed to take his dose of the tonic, and he wanted to get an update from her personally, particularly regarding Celes. He was certain Samantha would want an explanation to everything that had happened as well.
Sickbay was near capacity as he entered, with medical staff roaming about. It was much like the hustle and bustle one might find in a crowded city, definitely not a regular occurance aboard a starship. He spotted Samantha standing next to Celes, running scans from the look of it. He approached and spoke gently, "Hope everything is alright. How is she?"
"She seems to be very much improved since the Vulcans were here...and the tonic seemed to have aided her recovery as well" Sam replied, keeping an eye on a few of the moniters dotted at the more critical patients bedheads. She had so many questions but no-one to talk them to.
"You seem more coherent yourself" the doctor commented, pulled a well used tricorder out of her pocket and running it over Shran. " No more violent tendencies? Desires to grandeur or weird herbal remedies? " There was a wry smile as she snapped the tricorder closed and housed it once again within the pocket of her medical coat.
"I'm good doctor. Much better now that I don't have a Celangelum in my head. That is an experience I hope to never have again. It kept having me speak in odd manners, which according to Estella seemed to primarily reference ancient Earth texts. Suppose it could have been worse though. I could have had an Ifriti in my head like Deanna."
"Either species in your head is not a good thing" Sam scoffed, stifling a yawn that threatened to overtake her face. It'd been nearly 48 hours since she'd had any sleep. " From what I can gather the 'lets call it an invasion' is over, the tonic seems to be working, although I hope the proportions were correct, your instructions were somewhat brief" she smirked at the Captain, hoping that his own experience would allow a little light humour.
" I think we have a lot to talk about when things settle down" the Doctor admitted, realising her own psyche was more than a little battered after her recent experience.
"Your dosage is fine. The tonic will ensure that none of us are taken over again." Shran took a moment to have his tonic. "But yes, quite a bit to go over once everyone has had time to recuperate a bit. Command is not going to leave me alone for at least a week once they get my report." He sighed, "Joys of command" as he smirked and walked away.
