A surprise transfer

Wyatt stood in the Washington's transporter room waiting for the last of the crew arrivals to transfer over. All the crew had transferred over from the high-speed courier ship sent to bring new crew except this last one. He tapped his combadge,"What's the hold up? Send that crewman over now." he said trying very hard to keep from sounding annoyed.

He had turned his back as the familiar sounds of the transporter being engaged filled the room. His back was still turned as he said while turning to greet the last arrival "Welcome to the Washi ....." The rest was lost as he found himself staring into the smiling face of his wife Vienna.

Vienna’s eyes fell on her husband, her excitement plain to see. She was practically chomping at the bit to run over to him. “Permission to come aboard?”

Wyatt continued to stare at Vienna not believing she was really here, but he managed to stumble out, "Permission granted, Permission is definitely granted."

That was all it took for Vienna, stepping down she rushed over to Wyatt. Dropping her bag, she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, letting it linger for a moment before letting go. “Sorry, I couldn’t wait any longer, I just had to do that!”

Wyatt's arms were still around Vienna as if he was afraid if he let go, she might vanish from view. "Don't apologize, do it again. I can never get enough of your kisses."

Vienna grinned. “Aren’t we kind of... in public view here?” She looked around. “How’s about you show me to our Quarters, we’ll be all alone there.”

"What? Oh yeah, we are, aren't we?" Wyatt replied, thankful the
transporter tech had the decency to look away. He picked up Vienna's bag with one hand and with the other wrapped his arm around her waist as they exited the transporter room, heading for their quarters.

Vienna hardly took her eyes off Wyatt as they walked, it was like he’d disappear if she did.” It’s taken long enough, but now I’m finally here with you I’m not going to ever leave you!”

"Nor I you Vi." He said using his nickname for her. Vienna was more than his wife, she was his best friend, lover and confidant. There was nothing he couldn't talk to her about. He valued her insight and opinions. "How did you manage to wrangle an assignment to get here?" He asked curious as to how she pulled it off.

“Ohh I threatened to reveal a few juicy secrets” She gave him a
serious look before bursting out laughing. “Of course, I didn’t! I
managed to rack up a favour or two, plus my CO was good enough to put in a word for me. He’s a good man who saw how unhappy I was without you.”

"I was miserable without you Vi." Wyatt confirmed as they reached their quarters. He stopped and bent down, scooping Vi into his arms as the door opened and he carried her across the threshold. "Welcome to your new home Mrs. Steele."

Vi giggled as she was carried across the threshold. “Why thank you Mr Steele, you know you’re supposed to carry me straight to bed don’t you? That’s if time, and duties allow of course!”

"Thank you for the reminder Vi. Only problem is we may not have the time and I definitely don't want to rush our reunion. I want this it be proper and magnificent."

“You always were the sensible one” Vienna nodded. “Do you mind if I add a few homely touches in here? You know me, I like my creature comforts!” She grinned as she leant in for a more romantic kiss.

Wyatt kissed her with every bit of love he felt for her and at the
same time, pushed her back onto the bed so she fell upon it and he atop her, "Screw being sensible. You're my wife and we're married."

“That I am, and yes we are!” Vienna ran her fingers through Wyatt’s hair, she loved to be tactile it all added to the sensory fun when they were together. “I don’t want to spoil the reunion if you want to wait until later Imzadi.”

Wyatt closed his eyes as Vi ran her fingers through his hair. He had missed her so much. Her unwavering love and support. Her sparkling smile and wonderful sense of humor. Along with her compassion to help all she could. She was a most remarkable woman. "It won't spoil anything Vi. I just want to lie here and soak up your beauty and the fact that you are really here."

Vienna smiled. “Then who am I to stop you!” She gently pulled Wyatt down for a passionate kiss. It felt like forever since they’d last seen each other even though they’d kept in touch over subspace.

Wyatt flashed a wolfish smile. "Why Mrs. Steele, I do like the way you think." As he kissed her again and again. He could never get enough of Vi and her kisses.

“You keep this up and you’re not going to be going anywhere Imzadi.” Vienna grinned a wry grin as she looked into Wyatt’s eyes.

"You don't hear me complaining, do you?" Wyatt whispered as he lay next to her just soaking in the fact that they were finally reunited.

Vienna cuddled up, as much as she wanted to make love to Wyatt it could wait until later, right now she was finally able to properly relax in his arms. His presence had a calming effect, which always helped when her abilities were running riot. Being in a new place it would take a while to settle. “Just being in your arms helps to quieten the voices, it hasn’t been that easy without you.”

"I'm sorry love but you are here now, and we will never be parted again. It was cruel for them to separate us before they know a Betazoid is emotionally bonded to their spouse or intended. There is no excuse for this. I am just glad you are alright."

Vienna nodded as she lay happily in Wyatt’s embrace, she’d be happy just to lie there forever more but she knew she couldn’t.
“I guess I’m going to have to let you get back to work, plus I
need to report in to our new CO.”

Wyatt shook his head, "I'll give you a personal escort to meet him." Wyatt grinned, "Gives me more time with you," he explained with a smile. "Plus, I need to report in as well." He said with a smile.

“Wonderful Imzadi, that’s very kind. To be honest I’m nervous as hell.”

Wyatt smiled, "It is the least I can do for the new Strategic Operations Officer, besides what kind of husband would I be if I didn't escort my wife?"

“A very busy one!” Vienna grinned.

"Well, yes that's true but I am your husband as well and I take that role and responsibility very seriously."

Vienna smiled as she gently touched his face. “I know you do Imzadi, that’s what makes you so special.”

"You are kind to say so Vi but what I am is a man who is very much in love with you."

“As I am with you” Vienna grinned. “We could keep this up all day, and never get any work done you know! I have to prove to Starfleet that being assigned here with you won’t cause any problems where my objectivity is concerned. You know what it’s like when they assign married couples together.”

"I'm okay with that." Wyatt teased before continuing, "Yes, I know but for them to think your objectivity would be compromised, is just an insult Vi." He finished with a scowl on his face.

“Well I’m not going to let you, or myself down.” She smiled warmly. “They want professional they’ll get it, speaking of which let’s get to the bridge so I can report in.”

"You never let me down Vi." Wyatt answered as he leaned in and kissed Vi again. "However, you are right, you need to report in. So, we should be on our way."

Returning his kiss Vienna nodded. “Indeed. More where that came from later, I promise!”

"Well, I certainly hope so!" Wyatt replied with a smile. "In fact, I
am looking forward to more, lots more." He grinned foolishly.

“Ohhh there’ll be a whole lot more!” Vienna smiled a wry smile as she headed for the door. “Let’s just say there won’t be much sleep for either of us tonight!”

"Why Vienna Steele, I do like the way you think. A woman after my own heart." Wyatt bantered back as he moved to join Vienna at the door. "Shall we?" He asked holding his arm out for Vienna to take.

“We shall” Vienna nodded and took hold of her husband’s arm. This was a very special day; indeed, she couldn’t wait for the evening to come.

Wyatt looked at Vienna and he knew she could sense what he was feeling but he still needed to say it. "I'm glad you're here Vi. I have missed you so much and I love you."

“As I have you Imzadi” Vienna smiled. “It’s good to finally be in a place I can call home.”
