Of love and secrets

Stonebridge had made it back to his quarters. The moment he entered his quarters, her smell met him. She could not be on Federation property. But he could take her smell with him anywhere.
Michael sat On the edge of his bed in silence. Something he did a lot lately. Every since he met Siri four years hence, his life had not been the same. He caught her gaze from afar. There was obviously something about him that stoked a fire in her that she thought had been long extinguished.
Michael was unsure as to how long she had observed him and his mannerisms but her study of him had not yet reached its conclusion. Most Orion girls were beautiful. Siri’s beauty was on another level, somewhere between heavenly and soul numbingly gorgeous.
The moment their eyes met, they somehow knew. As she watched him from the second he entered the establishment, she couldn’t take her eyes off of him. Her first instinct was to let her pheromones work on him but she thought better of it. Plus she would need to be much closer for that to work or dose the entire bar, and that would never do. She longed to be with someone who wanted to be with her for normal yet hidden passionate reasons. Not just the lust to bed an Orion girl. But for much more than that. She had no idea the change that was about to come over her life.
As they finally gravitated toward each other, something happened in her stomach that had never happened before. Call it nerves, call it butterflies or whatever you want. But she had it bad for this one! He stood his ground at the bar.
She moved toward him like the predator she was and locked in on only him. It was almost as if she could not control herself. She stalked him in front of God and everyone. During her approach, another girl saw him and headed his way. But the closer she got the more a weird feeling of Don’t you fucking dare, came over her and she thought better of it and veered away, leaving Siri’s pray to her alone.
As she stopped next to him a voice in the back of her mind whispered; don’t you fuck this up.
“Hi, is it possible that you might allow me a moment of your time Lt.?” She asked
He looked at her, concentrating on her eyes only. “It would be criminal to do otherwise.” He states boldly.
She Reaches and lightly grabbed his hand. She guided him to the closest table to where they stood and she gestured for him to have a seat. He was happy to oblige her. As they both sat facing each, not more than 12 inches separated them from one another. In fact they could feel the heat of one another’s breath on the others skin as the rhythm of their breathing patterns began to match!
“Can I be straight with you......?”
“Michael, my name is Michael!” He said
“Michael. “ and she paused. “My name is Siri, and you, for some unknown reason have flipped a switch in me. For lack of a better term as my Earth speak is not as good as it could be. “ and she smiled.
“I find that interesting, because if I’m honest. You’re the singular most intoxicating woman I’ve ever seen.” Said Michael. “So why don’t we call this what it is. Kismet. “ and he smiled back at her.
She swooned and rolled her eyes toward the ceiling and then back at him.
“Though I’m sure you’ve heard this before, we’re it possible to say it in a language I’d made myself, I’m sure it would come out meaning the same thing.”
“Michael, you don’t have to crest a language for me. I’m sure if we work at it. We will create a language that only you and I can understand. That is if you’re willing. “ she stated boldly. “But I warn you. This won’t be your typical Risa romance. No my dear Lt. This is already on a level far above anything I’d expected to happen here. You literally light a burning desire in me that frankly I’ve not felt before. And I must be crazy out of my mind to tell you this. But, you had me from the moment you walked in the door.” And she melted forward and placed the gentlest of kisses on his wet smooth inviting lips.
How she could know that it was ok to do that puzzled him. But if all she said had been true and from the heart. They were kindred spirits. These meeting was ordained and meshed in fate!
The evening progressed like none other either of them had ever had. And it was far from typical. By the time it came for them to put their money where their mouth was, they knew almost all there was to know about one another. Except that Michael was Star Fleet Intelligence.
“Shall we blow this popsicle stand?” Asked Michael.
“You lead sir and I promise to follow you to through the gates of hell. “ she retorted.
“Let’s hope we never have to take that trip.” Said Michael in a low voice as he offered her his arm. They departed the bar and walked and talked for what seemed a good long time. As they stopped once more to kiss and hold each other. It had become inevitable that making love would be the obvious progression. So they headed to his room. As they entered the room. She stopped him. “I’m here, with you. Because there is no other place in known space that I would rather be. “ she said looking deep into his heart.
“And I assure you here and now, that me being here with you right now is a culmination of life’s teachings. You are the woman I’ve sought from as far back as I can remember looking. You are everything I’ve ever wanted in a mate. You are as far as I’m concerned the one. And my reason to carry on. But a different path. One that finds me redefining my life to include you in it. So before we go any further in the interest of full disclosure, I’m Star Fleet Intelligence. I tell you this so you know. I’ve got nothing to hide.” Said Michael knowing if she were anyone other than she said she was. It could cost him his life.
“Your secrets, your life and very existence is also now my secret to keep for the rest of my life!” And they fell into each other’s arms in full acceptance of the pact they had just made.
