Dressing the Part

Mission: Wild Wild West
Location: Kate and Ben's Quarters
Timeline: After staff briefing

The first thing Kate did when she stepped out if the shower was to replicate a new type of body mesh that prevented projectiles and blades from penetrative ability into her body. She designed it herself after too many away-team mission mishaps that left her mortally injured or maimed. She squeezed her naked body into the mesh and fought with the autolock zipper. When she finally squeezed into the suit, she still looked bare other than the thin mesh that reached all the way up to her neck, wrists, and ankles, leaving only her hands, head, and feet exposed. On the bed, was a mixture of Japanese and Chinese style period-specific clothing. She of course pulled on a modest pair of undies, and a non period sports bra, but everything else would allow her to blend in.

A black Samue, which consisted of tight pants, a close-fitting shirt with a turtle neck and crested with blue highlights around the edges of the neck and sleeves. She pulled into it and then donned a pair of comfortable black boots, followed by a gun belt she took from the armory with a period looking Colt 45 that was actually a phaser that would only work with her hand.

She strapped on a Winchester Rifle slung around her back that was actually a real rifle, but the barrel was more up to date with a late 21st Century twist and more accurate bullets that provided a stunning action rather than Lethal. In her bag, she carried both non Lethal and a few Lethal rounds for that rifle, along with a discreet scanner that looked like a powder mirror, and a small medkit.

She then strapped on a small blade at her hip, a modest twelve inches.

She looked at herself in the mirror and tried not to laugh before she walked out of her quarters.
