Waiting

Posted on Tue May 17th, 2022 @ 1:27pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Lieutenant Commander Callie Raven-Grayson

Mission: Jupiter Mystery
Location: Bridge

{ON}

With Jon off ship Callie had headed to the bridge just as she promised her husband she would. If she stayed in her office she would have certainly gone stir crazy. Stepping out of the turbolift she made her way across to her seat offering Shran a smile as she did so.

“Any news on the away team Sir?”

"Jon is going to the other planet with Celes and Amethyst. We'll see what comes of it. Shon, Aiko and Ayana found something in the ruins and transported it up to the Jupiter for analysis."

Callie nodded. “Hopefully it’ll answer some questions for us about exactly what’s going on here.”

"At least they know where the signal was coming from. Since they removed the artifact the signal has been triangulated and hopefully that allows them to learn more. I think we'll continue monitoring the situation and scanning the planet while we coordinate with the shuttles as they continue scanning the rest of the system."

Callie nodded. “It’s odd, I’m sensing something out there but it’s foggy, almost as though something is blocking me from sensing what’s really out there.”

Shran looked at her with a quizzical concerned look. "Blocking you? That is strange, as Celes hasn't reported any telepathic issues. Perhaps it is because you are an empath. I can't imagine what might be blocking you."

Callie shook her head. “Neither do I, Perhaps it’s because Celes is on the surface? She’s closer to the source. Plus she’s a full blood Betazoid and I’m only half. I am telepathic but not to such an extent. If someone, or something doesn’t want to be found then it makes sense."

"That thought is a bit disturbing. Something that blocks your telepathic ability. No, I don't like that thought at all." Shran stood from his chair and straightened his uniform, "Care to join me to get updates on the various departments data collection?"

Callie smiled warmly and nodded. “I’d like that thank you Sir.” She stood straightening her uniform as she did so. “I’ll keep my senses alert, if anything changes you’ll be the first to know.”
