Strange Reports

Athos was beside himself. The reports he was receiving were unbelievable and he would have suspected his officers of drinking if he didn't know them better. A group of humans wearing strange clothing had been spotted and engaged by the collection team in charge of rounding up the native humans for both science and military means. These strange humans had engaged his teams and soundly defeated them with some strange weapons that put the ape military to shame.

He gave order for these humans to be captured alive. For if he could learn the secret of their weapons he could rule Ape City and wipe out the human blight once and forever. Stranger still, these new humans could talk! As he reread the reports from the teams in the field. It seemed that most of the humans first encountered had escaped captured and disappeared but two, a male and female were cornered, and capture was deemed imminent. He again stressed that these two humans be captured alive. Once he had them and talked to them, learned their secrets then they could end up like the rest of the humans dead at the hands of his troops.

He also needed to make sure that the lid on these humans remained tightly sealed. He didn't want Karina Salos sticking her nose into this and then demanding that the humans be turned over to the science council. He picked up his phone and dialed the officer in command on the scene to both get an update and to strongly remind the officer that the humans were to be taken alive. If they were banged and bruised that was alight. Hanging up the phone, he leaned back in his chair. All he could do now was wait.
