Location: USS Washington

Shran sat in his ready room going over personnel when the door chimed. He heard the door open and then close and sensed the presence of somebody moving towards him. He looked up and saw a lieutenant in operation gold. "Lieutenant."

"Captain," the man replied presenting a PADD in his right hand, his orders, "Grayson Jones, reporting for duty. Should you accept, I believe I am to be your new Chief Engineer of this fine ship." Grayson smiled openly and with warmth at the thought.

Shran took the PADD and looked it over. "Very good lieutenant. I'm afraid I won't be able to give you much time to settle in. We received orders from Command that require us to move at high speeds immediately for a mission. I'll likely have you working very closely with other members of the crew quite quickly. Are you ready for such a task?"

"Always ready, Captain," Grayson replied, keeping his smile up for now.

"Very good. I believe Lt. Antoinette is keeping things in order in Engineering right now, so I am certain she can get you apprised of things down there. Anything else?"

"Nothing else Captain that can't wait until after the mission, I look forward to the Lieutenant getting me up to speed with everything that is happening quickly."

"Very good" Shran said with a smile as he stood. "Dismissed lieutenant."
