Dirty Job

Mission:
Tal Shiar
Location: USS Washington
Shran was going over the away team reports, his orders nagging in the back of his head. Labs had been destroyed, but the Romulan could still have data to work with. They also had been discovered both on the planet and in orbit. His orders were clear, should phase two be necessary, he was ordered to use whatever means necessary to hide the fact that he and his crew had been there. It left him with one viable option to deal with everything, and it was an order he didn't want to give.
The Andorian stood and made his way onto the bridge. Ayana was in command, but he had something for her to do. She stood to yield the command station and he held his hand up as if to tell her not to walk away. He leaned in and whispered in her ear, albeit hesitantly, "Prepare 4 quantum torpedoes, and include trilithium resin containers and attach it to each. Let me know when they are ready."
Ayana had a perplexed look on her face. "Aye sir" she said softly.
Shran walked over to the conn, an ensign sitting at the station. "Ensign, set course for the center of the system, full impulse. Engage when ready."
The ensign did as commanded.
Ayana returned to the bridge a few minutes later. "Ready captain."
Shran nodded. He walked over to tactical, "I'll take over here for the next minute Ayana." He hit the controls and targeted the star at the center of this system. "Conn, lay in a course for Starbase 217, warp 7."
"Course laid in sir" said the ensign.
Shran hovered his hand over the firing button, obviously not wanting to actually do this. But he had his orders, and in this case, while he disliked them, he had no choice. He hit the firing control, the torpedoes fired and headed to their destination. "Conn, engage."
He looked at the tactical display scans and saw the readouts as the star went nova. He looked at Ayana, "You have the bridge." He slowly walked away to the nearest turbolift quietly, the look of anguish at what he had done obvious.
