Presenting a Plan

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Location: Captain's Ready Room
Timeline: TBD

After coming up with a potential plan to throw the mirrors off stride as well as buy themselves some time, Jon and Imik headed to the Captain's Ready Room to present the plan and hopefully put it into action. Arriving at the Ready Room door, Jon looked to Imik, "Here's hoping the captain gives us the okay with this plan." He stated as he pressed the chime to announce their presence.

Shran was working on his computer trying to assist Deanna in her efforts to lock out and regain complete control of the ship. When the door chimed it actually caught him by surprise. "Come" he stated as he continued working on his computer.

Hearing the captain call out to them to enter, Jon along with Imik entered the ready room, stopping in front of his desk. "Captain, Imik and I have an idea that may give us the time we need to gain control of our ship and throw the Mirrors into a state of confusion." Jon stated.

Shran continued to work as he began to speak, "I think the Mirrors are in a constate state of confusion, and Deanna is doing a good job with all of this, but I'll take any advantage we might be able to get at this point." He looked up from the computer terminal and stood up, walking around to Jon and Imik, "What is the idea?"

Jon looked at Imik and then back to Shran, "To put it simply sir, to make the Mirrors think help is coming in the from of a Onjas starship. Our idea" Jon plunged on his to have Imik in a shuttle and be our Onjas starship signaling us that they are on the way to assist us."

Listening to Jon explain their idea, Imik now stepped forward. "We also need any security teams to place their phasers on stun, our own people will fall but the mirror aliens can not risk being captured and so will resist and attempt to keep going. Once we have assessed their true identity, we then shoot to kill. I feel only by killing these mirror aliens, can both the safety of our vessel and crew be assured."

Shran understood what was being said, but his StarFleet training was nagging at him, as were the orders he had been given. "I would like nothing more than to kill these people. They are war criminals. We didn't declare war, but we are fighting one. I can't condone us killing them though. My orders are to detain these Mirrors, particularly my double and that of his accomplice that freed him from our brig only a few months ago. That said, if stunning everyone in a room where fighting is going on is the only way you can sort out who is who, I will allow that. My understanding is that some of your security teams are already doing that to reclaim parts of the ship."

"Yes sir, understood. What about the plan sir?" Jon pressed. If the captain approved the plan, he and Imik could put it into motion almost instantly.

Imik now smiled, "That would be Lieutenant Phoenix, he has sense when evaluating an enemy. He also follows orders, and I believe you gave orders to capture the mirror aliens if possible." She looked at Shran and continued, "But on not killing our enemy I must protest, only a fool pokes a Lion with a stick. Our stick is not knowing who is and attempting to catch the Lion."

"I am fine with your plan as far as using a diversionary tactic to make it appear we have Ojnas assistance coming. I'm afraid, as much as I would like to, I can't give permission to kill the enemy. As you know lieutenant, we all have orders, and my orders are to capture these individuals, not to kill them" Shran replied.

"Yes sir, understood." Jon replied crisply. "Come on Imik let's go and set up our Onjas cavalry coming to the rescue."

The comm opened up as a call came in from sickbay, =^= Del Rio to Grayson. =^=


=^= Commander, I wanted to let you know that your children are here, with the Travis children. Apparently, the intruders were attacking living quarters. I can report that Lt Travis was severely injured but in stable condition. Sickbay is overwhelmed, sir. The only medical personnel are me, Dr. Perim, and the EMH. =^=

Jon let out a sigh of relief knowing his and Callie's children were safe but was sad to hear about Seth. Where are Dr. Howard and Dr. Travis?"

=^= Dr. Howard, Dr. Travis, and Dr. Tarja are all missing. =^= Viviana replied. =^= I can report that the intruders definitely were here in sickbay, as Amethyst was killed. But at this time, I can't tell you where the senior medical personnel are. =^=

Jon swore silently at hearing Sam, Dex and Tarja were all missing along with Amethyst being killed. "Alright Del Rio, thank you for letting me know about my children as well the missing senior medical personnel."

Hearing this new information, Shran was equally upset. "Entirely likely that we have personnel being taken hostage. We may have to prepare a rescue party for more than just the Saber crew."

"It certainly appears that way sir." Jon agreed. "I think we're going to need to use Commander Smith's team as well as Wyatt and Vienna."

"Smith and his team are protecting the computer core. Until we secure the ship, they are needed there. But using them for a rescue op like this sounds right up their alley. We need to get a sitrep regarding the intruders from the security teams. And hopefully Deanna can regain complete control of the ship, and we will get internal sensors back" Shran replied. "For now Jon, get the update from security, and make whatever preparations you need for this plan of yours with Imik."
