In our search for the Jupiter and her crew, we had luck in finding the Jupiter itself with very little trouble. As I feared though, the Jupiter was mostly abandoned, with the remaining crew in some sort of artificial coma that my medical staff is still trying to understand and overcome.

The source of the mysterious signal was traced back to the nearby planet that the Jupiter was found orbiting, and upon inspection our away team located an object which they removed for study. The ruins they found the device in had a feel of ancient Earth, with glyphs and runes signifying various ancient deities, mostly from the Norse and Celtic pantheons.

While this information was interesting and significant, what came next seems to be the more perplexing and astounding. Apparently a pair of these so called gods have made appearances, calling themselves Lugh and Loki respectively. Lugh came to our ship and we discussed things. While I feared he might be as destructive as other beings of his sort like the Q, he was rather benign other than some mildly trickery. Apparently Loki has not been as agreeable in his meetings with members of my crew. Upon my request, Lugh promised to assist in keeping Loki from harming my people, but I must now consider what options are available to protect my ship and crew should the situation worsen. How does one battle a god?
