Jupiter Mystery and Gods

I continue with my research into Starfleet encounters with alien beings that exhibit ‘god-like’ abilities. The research so far has lead me to conclude that it is by shear happenstance that Starfleet has not lost more lives or been destroyed out right by some of these beings. Start with a relatively weak, in comparison to other beings in this category, Armus. He manages to create an intense undefined force field. This force field is capable of blocking sensor scans, communications, and transporters. Then we go to the exact opposite end, beings of energy like the Q. Beings of nigh-omnipotent and immortal non-corporeal entities. How is it that the Federation, and other space faring cultures have not been destroyed by these beings? One must question how Starfleet and the Federation must approach these beings, some like the Organians who considered intervention in the affairs akin to Starfleet’s Prime Directive, however I have observed that most of these beings do not follow the same philosophy as the Organians; and the Organians themselves have interfered with the lesser beings in the past; the Organian Peace Treaty of 2267. So, again I am left with the troubling aspect of how we will deal with these beings. My great concern of the moment is that we are dealing with two known beings, Lugh and Loki as they claim, with powers similar to what was displayed when the USS Enterprise, under Captain James T. Kirk, encountered in 2267 on Pollux IV. The problem is that it would appear that the inhabitants of second class M world of the Opridion system. If they were responsible for imprisoning these two beings how would they feel towards us, Starfleet and conversely the Federation for letting these two beings go free. If they have the technology or ability to trap them then it would go that they are more than a match for anything we can throw at them.
