My Beacon

*Personal Log of Lieutenant Seth Travis*

I'm recording this log about my shining beacon, that being my wife, Dr. Shoniara T’ghann-Travis. I love her with every fiber of my being. I fall in love with her every time I see her. She is an amazing woman. She is the assistant chief medical officer for the USS Washington. However, more than just being my wife, she is also my best friend, lover and confidant. She is warm and passionate, with a wonderful sense of humor. She is also a caring and giving lover. Quite skilled in the art of lovemaking. In addition, she is a wonderful mother to Shasta our daughter, well Shon's and I adopted Shasta and think of her as my own and love her as she is.

Shon has very definite views and sometimes can be quite outspoken and passionate about them. She is also an intelligent and skilled debater. She would have made a good diplomatic officer. I am glad she is, as being quiet and shy is not in Shon's nature or personality. Sometimes, she takes things too personally but that is because she cares so deeply. I do wish she would relax and unwind a little more. As this last mission took its toil on her mentally. as well as physically. I do not want to see her help jeopardized or that of the twins because of a mission. Perhaps I can arrange a little getaway in the holodeck for just the two of us as Shasta is old enough and responsible enough to look after herself. I'll see if I can get some ideas from some general conversations we will have. If all else fails, I will ask Shasta to find out for me.
