After talking with Imik. Jon tapped his combadge. "Grayson to Callie, Come by my office when you get the chance." He said a bit cryptically as he closed the link he sat back and thought about the upcoming conversation with Callie. He was putting her in charge of keeping the civilian families together as well as having the security personnel and shuttle pilots in place.

“Acknowledged” Callie responded as she headed to the office. She was going to be busy later so now was as good a time as any.

A few minutes later she stepped inside the office giving Jon a warm smile as she took a seat. “What’s on your mind Jon?”

Jon came around his desk and leaned against it. "Wanted you to know that you are in charge of keeping the families together along with having adequate security personnel and shuttle pilots in place when it comes time for the families to leave."

Callie nodded. “Understood. Do you want me to go? To be honest I’m struggling with being separated from the kids, but my place is here with you.”

"Do I want you to go? No, I don't but I'm thinking of the kids like you are. This is already going to be stressful for Harry. The twins are too little to understand or know what is going on. There is no wrong answer here sweetie."

“I know, but that’s how it feels.” Callie added with a frown. “I know Harry will look after the twins, but I also know how much he worries about losing us. I just need to know they’ll all be alright.”

"I know, I know." Jon replied compassionately. "Is there anyone going who can look after harry and the twins? What about Mrs. Applegate?" He proposed.

Callie nodded. “I hadn’t thought of her, she is Harry’s favourite.” She smiled. “I’ll ask her and see what she says.”

"Check with her and see what she says and we can go from there." Jon stated. "It would definitely help if she agrees."

Callie nodded. “Will do. I’ll make sure we get those families to safety. Hopefully they won’t be off ship too long.”

"I know you will do your best, I have no doubt about that." Jon replied honestly. Callie was amazingly organized and clear headed. he knew she could handle the assignment before her.

“Thank you Jon” Callie smiled warmly. “Is there anything else before I go and get on?”

"No, I don't think ...." he stopped and looked at her, stood up and came around his desk, "Yes there is as a matter of fact.' he remarked as he came to stand in front of her. "I want you to know that I love you very, very much." He finished as his arms came up and Callie to hold her in a hug as he kissed her tenderly.

Callie returned the kiss and hug, Jon always knew how to make her feel better no matter what. “I love you too Imzadi, always have and always will.” She smiled.

Jon smiled, kissed her again. "Thank you my love, I feel exactly the same way about you. We're two peas in a pod."

“That we are” Callie grinned. “I’d best be getting on with the evacuations, I’ll see you on the bridge later.”

"Of course." Jon agreed soberly. "Give Harry and the twins a kiss for me and let him know, Kirk will be fine."

Callie grinned. “I will.” With that she headed on her way.

Jon returned the smile. "Thank you sweetheart. I'll see you on the bridge after you get finished with the evacs, having all the personnel in place, keeping the families together and telling the kids goodbye for now."
