Having talked Sam into letting her go home Callie sat alone in the dark, her arms wrapped around her knees and her head resting on it. She sat huddled up simply rocking herself in a gentle motion. She barely even flinched as the door open and the lights came on.

Jon came into a dark living room, which in an by itself was odd. However when he flicked the light switch on, he saw Callie on the couch, her legs pulled up to her chest with her arms wrapped on them and her head resting on her knees. "Callie? What is it? What's wrong?" He asked coming to sit beside her.

Callie lifted her head wiping away a few stray tears, she hadn’t hit the core of her feelings, hell she didn’t know what to feel at all. “I err...” She paused. “I know what happened to me...Dex’s bond brother he err....we melded, he found my memories!” She could feel the emotion brewing. “I...I was...” tears streamed down her cheeks. “He forced himself on me!! He...raped me!!!”

Jon reacted instantly. His arms went around Callie and he pulled her close. Just holding her close to him for several seconds. After a while, he spoke softly. "I am so sorry Callie! So very sorry! Do you," He stammered, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Callie was silent for a moment before speaking. “I...don’t know where to start!” She held him close feeling safe as safe could be in Jon’s protective embrace. “It’s so...raw. I feel like...it just happened to me. Dex’s brother warned me, that my memories might surface. I wanted to know...now I wish I didn’t!!”

Jon kissed her forehead softly as he continued to hold Callie. "Take it slow Callie, don't push yourself. This is terrible shock. You need to process it and deal with it. Just know, I'm with you every step of the way, in whatever you need." He pulled back slightly to look at her, "Do you want something to drink? Like tea or something stiffer?" He asked gently.

Callie nodded. “Something much stiffer, if you have it.” She wiped her eyes, right now not talking about how she felt was the best medicine. As a Counsellor she knew how important not rushing such a situation was.

"I have just the thing." Jon answered, rising from the couch and disappearing into the kitchen. A few minutes later he came back with a glass containing an ice blue liquid. "Romulan ale. Don't gulp, sip. It's what you need."

Callie nodded as she reached out a shaky hand and gently took the glass. Holding it tight in two hands she sipped the Romulan ale, at first it made her cough but she soon downed another sip. “Thank you Imzadi.”

"You are welcome Callie. Easy with that. it's potent stuff." Jon answered softly as he watched her, not pressing her to talk. Just reassuring her he was here for her whenever she wanted to talk.

Callie’s eyes widened. “What do I say to Harry!? He’ll want to know what’s wrong!”

"I'll handle Harry." Jon replied. "However, I'm sure he still going to ask you so, just keep it simple Callie. Just tell him you aren't feeling well. Don't make it complicated." Jon replied taking her hand in his.

Callie nodded, downing the rest of the Romulan ale she held up the glass for a top up. “I know what you’re going to say, right now I don’t care! I don’t want to feel what I’m feeling, and if getting drunk dulls the pain then so be it!”

Jon silently took the glass and stood up. "As you wish Callie." He answered quietly and went into the kitchen. Returning a few minutes later with both the glass and the bottle. "Just being on the safe side. "This will definitely dull the pain Callie. But what then when it wears off and the pain is still there?"

“Then at least I’ll have had a few hours of enjoyable bliss!” Callie poured herself another glass, downing that quicker than the first. Not being used to alcohol she was soon feeling the intoxicating effects. “You know...this stuff isn’t half bed...err bad!” She giggled as she put down her glass. “I...ought to do this more often!!”

"Easy Callie." Jon answered but didn't stop her. "I see. Well why stop at a few hours Callie? You can become an alcoholic and be in bliss constantly." Jon pointed out hoping Callie would see that this wasn't the answer.

Callie shot Jon a look before putting the glass down and pushing the bottle away. She’d had enough to punish her in the morning anyway. “Take it!” She sank back onto the sofa not feeling the joy of it anymore.

"Callie." Jon started, "I'm trying to help you. Getting drunk isn't the long term answer. You want to get mad and scream? Go ahead. You want to punch or break something? Be my guest. The point being get your feelings out Callie."

Callie sat for a moment before getting up and pacing back and forth, she wasn’t usually one to let her feelings out but now the alcohol had kicked in she was ready to let loose. “What am I supposed to say Jon!? What am I supposed to do??” She paused pacing then started again. “I don’t know!!!”

"Callie, do whatever it is you want to do. There isn't any right or wrong answer. What happened to you is very personal. You were violated and were completely unaware until just recently. That is a terrible shock."

Callie slumped down onto the sofa. “Just hold me? You always make me feel safe.”

Jon didn't need any further encouragement. He sat down beside Callie, wrapped his arms around her and brought her close to him. He didn't say a word. He just held Callie and would hold her for as long as she wanted.

Closing her eyes Callie’s hands gripped onto Jon’s clothing. It wasn’t long before she buried her head and started sobbing broken heartedly.”

Jon held Callie, his arms encircling her, holding her close to him. One hand moved, rubbing her back in silent reassurance that everything would be alright.

Callie eventually sobbed herself to sleep, resting silently in Jon’s arms where she felt the safest. The harder times were yet to come, but for now she was where she knew she wouldn’t be hurt anymore.

Jon leaned back on the couch, his arms still around Callie. He would be with her every step of the way as she dealt with this recent shock. He knew she was strong and would overcome this but it was always easier when you had someone by your side and she would have him.
