Location: Autopsy room. Sickbay
Timeline: Immediately after ‘Waking Into the Light’

Dex gowned herself up for the procedure. She had just returned from a delightful interlude in the observation lounge where she had met Seth Travis. She shook him from her mind, she had to do this, she had not autopsied a Vulcan for few years now and for some reason it was always difficult. She pulled the tray out containing his body and lowered it down to her level. She collected her instruments and stood looking at the battered body.
That was all it was, a body, a husk of someone who used to be alive however awful he might have been.

She also found it uncomfortable due to the fact that she was half Vulcan. It was easy to pass herself off as not like him when he was alive but now, faced with his body, open and exposed with his organs the same as hers spread out before her was disturbing.

She made her incisions and removed and weighed all his organs which were all normal. His skin however was not. On his back were horrific scars of whippings and cuts that could only be described as torture. He was also missing two toes on each foot that also appeared to have been removed when he was young and not in a gentle way as approbated by the scars and non growth rate.

On his abdomen were signs of burns administered when he was a child. The skin was cracked and stretched and must have kept him in considerable pain. She compared them mentally to her own scars gained in the fire which took the lives of her family. She had made a decision to keep them as a reminder of that tragedy and the fact that she failed to save them.

She took samples of his body fluids. She found evidence of a large amount of Trellium-D a poison lethal to Vulcans. There was evidence of that in the subjects mouth from a cracked left molar. The mouth was also full of the poison so her report would show that he had taken his own life by poison.

There was also a fracture to his cranium sustained ante mortem with considerable swelling to his anterior sulcus extensive bruising over his abdomen and chest, bruising to his liver, fractures to his third and fourth ribs, fracture to his 3rd cervical vertebrae, three fractures to his jaw causing hyper mobility of the anterior portion entering his throat and transacting his spinal cord.

She sighed, replaced his organs and sealed his body. Placing him back in the refrigerated holding pod. She removed her gloves and gown and tapped her communicator.
