Gamma Shift Stepping Up

Location: USS Washington

Shran sat on the bridge waiting on initial reports from the away team and Deanna. It was somewhat rare for the captain to be on the bridge during gamma shift, but this was one of those sort of situations. Shran noticed one of the new arrivals was at tactical.
He stood and walked over, "How is everything ensign?"

Dersch looked at the Captain surprised "Good, Just running some diagnostics, and sorts on the systems to make sure they are ready when needed."

"Very well. You are new here, correct? One of the new officers that came aboard before we left Earth" Shran replied.

Dersch Reply "Yes Captain I a new here." As he said this he thought Please don't mess up, I am doing good so far.

Suddenly Celes chimed in over the comm, =^=Captain, this debris is providing some interesting information. You may wish to come down here=^=

Shran replied =^=Very well. On my way.=^= He looked around the bridge and then looked at Dersch, "Well ensign, it would seem today is your lucky day. You have the bridge, until a senior officer relieves you." With that, Shran exited the bridge.

Dersch replied, "Yes Sir." Did I really just get put in a charge on my first few minutes of being here?!?!..Wow...Well okay, Now lets not get distracted. He walked to the Command Chair...he then hesitated then sat.
