Your trial has just begun.

Posted on Wed Jan 3rd, 2024 @ 9:43am by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Lieutenant Inara Senn

Mission: Hard Earned Peace
Location: Aft Observation Lounge

Inara put a canvas on a tripod with the view of a rather interesting lunar alignment over the world they were undertaking diplomatic talks with. She was pleased she didn't have to undertake diplomacy. This was going to be the first of her new collection of paintings. Hela had burned the rest. At first, she was going to paint the moons unique alignment.

However, she started painting Josephine, but not just Josephine... herself with Josephine. Her hopes and dreams now. This was not going to be the past; it would be the future. Hope, something long overdue in the life of Inara Senn, since she could not be Arrianna Salannis an Vantar again. She had to be who she was, not the Alindari she once was.

"You seek to ease your mind and remind yourself of beauty" Brigid said as she appeared behind Inara. "I wish you had time for such distractions, but sadly we have learned new information that poses a great risk to you, your colleagues, and the universe itself. As I speak with you, your captain speaks with the one known as Shoniara. She has told him about Hela's plans as made known to her, and what she has told him could be disastrous if allowed to happen. Your great trial, whether you are ready for it or not has just begun. You must go to them and share all the information you know. Only together can you all survive what is to come."

"Dammit. So you want me to tell them all of Hela's games is some twisted test? Tough love for our benefit? I think Hela is a bitch."

"You have to collaborate with your colleagues if you wish to defeat Hela at any level. Some things Hela wishes to do are inevitable, but to save yourself, and your colleagues, you will all have to work together" Brigid replied in that soft melodic voice of hers.

"I've put all of the wounds Hela has torn open behind me. I'm focusing on living thirty years until I can see her again. Alright. I'll go to Shon and dh'Klar.. But these last few days have been painful. Very well."

"It is good that you are putting the negative behind you and setting a goal for yourself. As you know, Hela does not go away easily. It is a trial; one you will undergo for many years. This is part of that trial" Brigid replied.

"Hela can f*ck herself and go to hell. And there will be no deals with her." She walked to the ready room.

Brigid shook her head. "So angry. So easily provoked" she murmured to herself.
