Timeline: After Something for Shon

Seth's voice came through Shon's combadge. "Hiya sweetie, I need you to come to holodeck one but not in uniform in your blue dress." His voice barely hiding the joy in it.

Shon had just finished a complicated triple birth And was feeling tired. “What’s going on my love?” She asked.

"Now Shon, don't be nosy, just come to the holodeck." Seth repeated chuckling as he did..

Shon smiled, finished her work and ran to their quarters showering and putting on the blue dress that Seth liked.

When Shon arrives and enters the holodeck, she will find she is in an 20th century night club with a raised stage at the front of the room with tables all around and a bar off to the right. A hostess comes up to her, "We've have a table already reserved for you. Would you like something to drink?"

Shon entered the holodeck interested in what she sees. “I would like a soda spritzer please. She walked over to the table.

"Yes ma'am. I will be right back with your drink." The hostess replies and scurries off. A moment later the house lights dim and the stage lights brighten. The MC walks out, he is a man in his early forties with brown hair and wearing a tuxedo with a bright smile. "Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, we're in for a treat tonight. We have a very special guest tonight who I know will keep you entertained. Please give a warm welcome to Seth Travis!" The audience claps and cheers as Seth comes onto the stage. he is wearing a black tuxedo with black shoes, white shirt and a black bow tie. He smiles and nods at the claps and cheers. He sees Shon sitting in the front row. She is gorgeous in her blue dress.

"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you very much. I'd like to dedicate this next song to the classiest and sexist doctor I know. This song is for you Shon T'ghann-Travis." he nods to the other band members who have come on stage and an instant later, loud, ruckus, high energy music is pumping through the club and Seth begins to sing.

When he finishes the audience was clapping wildly along with cheering and whistling. He nods and smiles all while looking to see Shon's reaction.

Shon was stunned for a moment watching him, he'd not looked that good since their wedding. then she jumped up waving and clapping. Then she couldn't help herself, like any stage door floosie she jumped up on stage and grabbed him round the neck kissing him. Seth smelled and tasted so good. "Didn't know you could sing so well my love.'

The audience went mad.

Seth hugged her tightly and kissed her passionately "I'm full of surprises darling." he whispered as he turned to the crowd. "Ladies and Gentleman, may I introduce Dr. Shon T'ghann Travis."

Shon laughed and turned pink as she bowed to the crowd. Shon turned to him. "I have some good news of my own for you. my scan today revealed we are having a boy.'

"A boy? Oh Shon! That is fantastic!" He gushed as he kissed her again to the delight of the crowd. What truly wonderful news."

“I thought you would like it, now it’s only three against two.” A shadow crossed her face. It should have been three against three, she thought.

"I wasn't keeping score Shon." Seth joked. He knew what she was thinking the loss of their son to Hela. "Shon." He softly. "Don't go down that path. be happy and thankful for what we have." he urged her.

“Oh love I am, very happy I adore Sage and Shasta and our new little one but I often wonder where he is, what he is doing, what he looks like?”

"Shon, I know. I do it but I have to stop myself from dwelling on it. it isn't good to do so." Seth said in an understanding tone"

Shon nodded, “I know but I cannot forget Seth, he was, and is always my son. Now, let’s have some fun?”

"i didn't say forget Shon, I said don't dwell and he's my son as well. As for having some fun, let's do it," Seth replied with a smile.

“Have you ever done a dance called the tango?” She said mischievously. “I’ve been practicing.”

Seth met her gaze, "Sweetheart, I am the champion tango dancer. Bring it on and by the way, just who have you been practicing with? He said teasingly.

Shon laughed. "The tango is not really a Vulcan dance but I have been practising on the holodeck with El Cachafaz and this dress," she said showing the slit right up to her thigh. "This dress is just perfect. she leaned forward and kissed him passionately, "Argentinian tango of course. So, show me what you've got my love."

"Your wish is my command, Shon." Seth replied smiling back at her as he turned to the band, "Gentlemen if you please, the tango. An instant later the traditional tango music began to play. he took Shon's hand in his and brought her close. "You didn't say which style you wanted so we'll dance Argentine style, the close style." With that he twirled Shon around and brought her back close to him as they glided across the stage floor.

“Where shall we go for our two weeks shore leave?” Shon asked.

"Good question." Seth replied as they danced across the room to the delight of the audience. "We'll have to take a few days to do some fun stuff so Shasta doesn't feel left out. Have you any suggestions or ideas on the matter?"

Shon’s pulse was racing as they went through the movements of the tango, it had been many years since she had learned the dance but the old feelings began to rise in her and the connection with her husband felt like electricity. It was difficult to concentrate as she tried to think of activities Shasta would like.

“I think she would love to visit Starfleet Academy if we could arrange it. Now, whirl me around the floor, then whirl me into bed.”

Seth nodded in agreement. "That is a great idea, Shon! I think I can arrange for us to take Shasta on a tour." His smile broadens at Shon's comment about giving her a whirl across the floor and then into bed. "Both suggestions I am happy to comply with." He replied, As he spun Shon across the floor. Newt stop their quarters.
