Promotion and realization

Captain Shran visited my quarters today with the good news that I have been promoted to full Lieutenant for my work since coming aboard. I must admit I was surprised and a little embarrassed as I was in my pajamas. I took the opportunity to invite him to stay and we realized we had a common love of tea. I managed to persuade him to try my way of making Earl Grey tea. It was interesting and very pleasant to find out a little bit about the man behind the command. He has invited me for breakfast in a few days and I feel myself looking forward to spending some private time with him, I find him fascinating and I would love to get to know him on a more personal level.

I am still recovering from the fracturing of my mind and am having strange dreams. At least I am able to meditate now although my sleep is still fractured. Callie is suffering from the revelations of the assaults she suffered from an unwanted meld with a Vulcan. In a strange way I feel responsible for the worst parts of my race. Something is about to happen, I can feel it. Our new mission may shine some light on what happened to her and I hope I am involved in the dénouement.
