Command Preperation

Mission: Sabotage
Location: USS Washington

Shran entered the bridge from the turbolift and made his way down towards his ready room. "Deanna, get me StarFleet Command on a secure channel" he said as he walked ever closer to his ready room. He looked over at Ayana who was at tactical, "Ayana, send 20 security down to the planet along with an engineering team. Let them know they may be going into a siege effort."

As Shran turned to enter his ready room Deanna chimed in, "Channel open captain."

"I'll take it in my ready room" Shran replied.

The Andorian made his way into his private space and sat at his desk, clicking the computer to open the channel. "Admiral Chokote, it would appear a splinter faction of the Cardassian military has decided to stir up travel inside what was once the DMZ. We had a skirmish with several Cardassian ships and have discovered they have been attacking colonies. I am preparing my ship to seek them out once we have made certain the colony is secure."

The admiral had a deep look of concern on his face. "Use caution captain. The last thing we want to do is reopen the wounds of the Dominion War."

"I think we are far more likely to reopen the wounds of the Cardassian conflict rather than the Dominion War, and I suspect that is something these rebels want" Shran replied.

"I trust your judgement captain, just be careful. I'll direct support in your direction as quickly as possible."

"Very good admiral. Hopefully we won't require it, but it will be good to have just in case" said Shran in his even-keeled manner.

"Good hunting captain. StarFleet Command out."
