Camping Trip

Mission: Respite
Location: Lupar 4
Timeline: Shoreleave Day 1

The shuttle descended out of the Lupar 4 skies, and gently circled the landing area that Jon & Callie had chosen before gently setting down. “Alright we’re here” Callie smiled as she looked back towards Harry, “Lets get the tent out and get set up.”

The site was perfect, There was a small lake for swimming, a stream to fish and trails to hike and all close. As well as trees all around. Jon smiled in satisfaction at the camping area they they had selected.

“It’s so lovely here” Callie smiled as she walked alongside Jon. “Believe it or not I’ve never actually been camping before, but I’m looking forward to spending time under the stars with you.” She looked across at Harry who was enjoying running around. “It’s nice to see him so happy!”

Jon took Csllie's hsnd in his. "We need this Callie. we all do a especially you and I"

Callie nodded. “I know we do. When I talked with Shon she asked me how our physical relationship was doing, I’ll be honest I’m not sure how I’ll react if..or when we make love again. I know you’d never do anything to hurt me, but I don’t want you to feel hurt if I can’t...” she paused uncertain if she was wording it right.

"Callie, I understand." Jon said gently, "We'll go slow. You just have to trust me and trust yourself. We will get through this."

Callie nodded. “Of course we will. I love you!” She was about to give him a kiss when it was interrupted by a very over excited Harry. She couldn’t help but grin. “Looks like someone is full of beans today!”

"I love you too Callie" Jon replied honestly before being interrupted by Harry's excited cries.

“Hey young man!” Callie grinned. “Let’s keep the noise down just a little, you’ll scare all the wildlife away.”

Harry nodded as he ran up to Callie. “Sorry mummy! It’s so pretty here!”

“It is indeed Sweetheart” Callie smiled as she crouched down to Harry’s height. “How’s about we get the tent set up, then we can light a fire and have something to eat.” She looked up at Jon. “Daddy is the campfire expert, aren’t you Jon?”

"Sure am." Jon said proudly. I'll make a fire so we can cook and believe we have some marshmallows, chocolate and crackers to make smores if anyone is interested that is." He finished with a grin.

“Wow! Sounds lovely” Callie nodded. “Let’s get this tent up.

~ A few minutes later ~

Callie stood looking at the tent, they’d managed to get it up pretty quick for her first time putting up a tent, she’d put up a camp bed for Harry in his single side bedroom compartment, and a double camp bed for herself and Jon. With their sleeping bags, extra covers, and pillows that they’d brought aboard the shuttle it was looking cosy and comfy.

Meanwhile Jon had cut out a fire pit with his phaser then painstakingly lined the base with even sixed rocks to insure an even temperature for cooking. that done he found some scrub brush and covered the stones and the fire pit was ready to use.

“Oh wow look at this!” Callie smiled as she sat down next to Jon by the fire pit. It had taken a lot out of her setting up their tent. “It looks really good.”

"Thanks Callie. We should be able to cook all our meals here." Jon replied, it had taken a lot out of him but he would never complain. It paled in what Callie had gone through. "How you feeling Callie?"

“Truthfully..somewhat worn out already!” Callie grinned. “How’s about we get a fire going and have something to eat? I need it right now.”

"Ask and you shall receive." Jon replied ad he pulled out his phaser to heat the rocks which ignited the scrub brush. "There you go Callie., Let the flames die down and you can cook anything you want."

“Mmm well then let’s get started.” Callie grinned as she reached for the food they’d brought with...

A little while later the three sat around the campfire, enjoying the darkened skies together. Callie smiled as she motioned to Harry. “Looks like our little man is all tuckered out.” She stood up and gently lifted him, taking him to his bed in the tent she removed his shoes before gently placing him inside his covers and kissing him goodnight. She quietly closed up his zip before returning to Jon. “Maybe we could...” She motioned to the tent.

"Sure Callie but first, Do you remember the day we met? " Jon asked and cued the shuttle's computer, "Play music " He ordered as he slowly stood and began to sing.

When he finished, He looked at her, "I sure do love you Callie."

Callie’s smile said it all as she looked up at Jon. “I love you too Jon! I’m sorry I put you through all that I have.”

"Not your fault Callie. You had your mind twisted. I'm just happy you are back and mine again." Jon replied.

Callie nodded. “So am I” She moved to stand up offering her hand. “How’s about we cuddle up inside? I just want to feel safe and warm with you.”

Jon smiled at her." Sounds like a wonderful idea Callie." Jon answered as he took Callie's hand and led her to the tent where he pulled the flap aside so they could enter.

Entering the tent Callie made her way to their sleeping area, removing a few layers she quickly slid under the warmth of their sleeping bag and extra covers to await Jon.

Jon stripped down to his underwear (he didn't want to push things) and slid in next to Callie, and looped an arm over her as a sign of affection and support.

Callie cuddled up draping her arm over Jon’s chest like she liked to do. It felt good to be in his embrace again, she smiled as she looked into his eyes before gently giving him a romantic kiss. She wasn’t sure how it would feel after recent events, but was relieved to find she was enjoying it.

Jon returned the kiss, he was willing to go slow. Callie had been through hell and he had no desire to add to her troubles.

Callie smiled. “Thank you for not making me feel awkward, I feel silly enough worrying about making love with you again.” She blushed. “I...do want to, I guess it’s just like our first time all over again.”

"Callie we will go slow, take it in stages, there is no rush. Just know I love you and I am here for you." Jon said softly as he continued to hold Callie in his arms.

Callie nodded. “I know. It’s just I...” She paused not sure how to word it. “I want to feel your fingers touching my skin again Jon, to know we can make love without me freaking out!”

"Callie I know. Don't stress on it. We'll get there it may take a little time but we will get there. I promise."

“I know we will” Callie nodded. “Right now I’m just happy to be here in your arms.”

"A sentiment I can fully get behind." Jon whispered as he kissed Callie's neck softly.

Callie let out an enjoyable sigh as Jon kissed her neck, he knew just what made her feel good.

Jon heard Callie's sigh. "Just relax and enjoy it Callie." He whispered as he kissed her neck again.

Callie nodded and ran her fingers along Jon’s skin, running up into his hair as she relaxed and let herself enjoy Jon’s attention.

Jon kissed and caressed Callie's skin softly, lovingly, He didn't rush or force anything. He was happy just to be holding Callie in his arms.

Callie closed her eyes letting herself simply relax, to enjoy Jon’s touch without fear. This break had been the best idea for them, allowing them to rekindle their love again after recent events.

Jon smiled as he could feel the tension flow from Callie's shoulders and he began to relax. He kissed her cheek and massaged her shoulders and back, overjoyed to have Callie back and in his arms.
