Dr Samantha Howard strode briskly from the freshly landed shuttle on a beeline towards the bridge. She had managed to get a lot of the protocols written and sent back to Starfleet Medical during the trip for her team mates to finish on her behalf.

She pressed the door chime to the Captain's Ready Room and waited, hoping Shran was inside.

Shran smiled as he saw Samantha enter. He was very relieved to have her back and hoped she was ready to jump back into the fray, because her expertise was sorely needed. "Samantha, I trust your trip was pleasant."

"It was rapid if nothing else" Sam smirked in good nature "but it sounds as though things are getting out of hand here and you could use some help" she was eager to get into whatever situation had been evolving, either in her role as 2XO or as CMO, whatever was more dire.

Shran nodded. "Indeed. I gave you an idea of what is going on. Jon and Callie should return from Vulcan soon, and I made arrangements to hold off on our arrival at Orion until they return. So I would say the immediate concern for you would be Dex down in sickbay."

"Seems you arrived just in time. I'll let you get to work." Shran wasn't the sentimental type generally, but he could help but give Samantha a hug. "Good luck" he said in a sobering tone.

" You have my full support in whatever you need of me Captain, please know that" Sam returned the hug before stepping back.

"Transporter Room 1, please beam me directly to sickbay, main ward, 1 metre to the left of biobed one" Sam ordered, and vanished in an instant.
