Callie had left Sickbay in somewhat of a daydream, the news Shon had given her was certainly unexpected but not unwelcome.

Making her way to the bridge she stepped out of the turbolift and across to her husband. “Commander, may I have a word with you, in private?”

Jon turned in his chair surprised to see Callie not that she wasn't welcome on the bridge. No that wasn't why he was surprised, it was her formal attitude to him. So business like. "Um, sure Callie, we can go into my ready room." He suggested. Getting out of the seat and leading Callie to his office. Once inside, he turned to her, “Callie, what's going on? Why so formal on the bridge just now?"

“Why formal? We’re on duty Imzadi, according to protocol I should be calling you Commander.” She smiled warmly. “However we’re alone now, and there’s something I have to tell you. You err... may want to sit down.”

Oh, come on Callie, we're married." Jon groused. Instead of calming down, Jon grew more concerned. "Are you alright Callie? Is the baby alright?" He asked while going to sit on the sofa.

“I am fine, we are fine” she motioned to her stomach. “All of us are fine...” She paused grinning like the proverbial Cheshire Cat. “Shon found something she didn’t expect, it seems that my first scan was slightly off. I’m carrying twins!”

Jon was silent for a moment as he absorbed the news Callie as just given him. Finally he managed to get out one word "Twins?!"

Callie nodded. “Yep, that was my response too!” She took a seat. “I know it’s a surprise, but you’re not upset about it are you?”

Jon shook his head at Callie, "Upset? Absolutely not! I'm pleasantly surprised or shocked but not upset at all sweetheart. Are you okay with this?"

Callie felt relieved as she nodded. “It came as a shock, but yes! I just hope Harry will be happy with it. I couldn’t resist asking Shon what I was having, do you want to know?”

Harry will be fine. He will love being a big brother and yes I want to know. I assume humanoid and not kangaroos." He teased.

Callie grinned. “Definitely humanoid, two thirds Human, one third Betazoid. We’re having a son and a daughter!” She smiled happily.

"A boy and a girl. That is wonderful news Callie. I couldn't be happier." Jon replied with a grin.

“Neither could I Imzadi” Callie smiled as she moved closer giving Jon a loving kiss. “I guess we’re going to be needing a lot more baby supplies next time we get Shoreleave.”

Jon returned the kiss, "I'll say, a lot more. Guess we'll need to convert the office into the twins room as well."

“We can work that out, either that or move to family quarters. That’s if they’re any bigger than our current quarters.” Callie smiled. “Should we inform Shran? Would it make any difference? He already knows I’m pregnant.”

"Family quarters are bigger Callie. Extra bedroom(s) larger kitchen and family room. Might be good to apply to get one." Jon suggested. "Sure, tell him. I'm sure he would like to know."

“Let’s tell him together.” Callie smiled. “We can ask about family quarters at the same time then.”

Sounds good Callie. However let's wait until we're done with temporal investigators. Let everything calm down." Jon suggested. We can still put in the request for family quarters however."

“Of course” Callie nodded. “I do believe requests go through the First Officer, and the Captain signs off on them, so I hereby make the request for family quarters.” She grinned playfully.

"Is that a fact?" Jon bantered back. "Then I hereby approve said request for family quarters. Time to get packing." He teased.

Callie grinned. “I’ll start packing as soon as Shran approves the request. Anyway I should be getting back to work, and let you get on with your duties.”

"Sounds like a plan Callie and thank you for telling me this wonderful news. Now we get to pick two baby names. At least we have to pick." Jon replied with a smile.

Callie smiled. “Well there’s plenty of time, five more months to be exact.” She got up from her chair and moved over to kiss him. “I’ll see you later Imzadi.”

Flashing a brilliant smile, Jon returned the smile, "You better believe it sweetheart."
