Growing Concern

Location: Alien Facility

The aliens discussed the situation regarding Shon. They were unaware that she could hear them at this point, though they seemed unconcerned about that possibility. They continued talking, and they did seem concerned about what Shon had said to them, calling her the result of chaotic practices that needed to be restrained and curtailed.

Shon could hear them talking and it was becoming clear that they appeared to be a paranoid race. She was now glad she had been practicing her meditation as she began to sink down into a state of K’al Nor ath. Her breathing grew stertorous as she began to project a feeling of peace and wellbeing towards the aliens.

The aliens continued to talk amongst each other. Suddenly something new entered the conversation that seemed to greatly alter the conversation. They were discussing a new vessel entering the asteroid field that was very advanced, and they couldn't get aboard it. And they began discussing militant options, fearing this new ship.

Shon felt drowsy and she was sure they had given her something to facilitate this. It seemed they no longer wanted to communicate with her and the K'al Nor ath did not seem to have worked. At least, she thought the universal translator was now working.

"We are peaceful explorers and all we want to do is get to know you. If you do not want this we will leave you alone, leave you in peace. Look into my mind and you will see the truth of this. My friends will be looking for me and soon will find out where I am. Let us meet as friends...." Shon fought against the drowsiness flooding her mind.

"Your chaotic nature must not be allowed to spread. We will continue our study of you, and we will eliminate the threat this new vessel presents" they replied. They began talking to one another again, a harmony of voices that were difficult to separate, even for Shon. Suddenly the facility shook. "We have been discovered" the aliens said, alarmed.

Suddenly Shon found her head beginning to clear and that she was free to get up. She swung her legs over and stood up. The aliens seemed to be alarmed and Shon understood that they appeared to have the capacity for panic. As she looked around her vision clearing she noted her communicator on a shelf near her. She grabbed it and ran trying to find somewhere away from the aliens. As she ran, she attempted to use her communicator.
