Mission: Training Cruise
Location: Jon & Callie's Quarters
Timeline: After Earth Here We Come!

Jon knew he needed to tell and talk to Callie about the link he shared with Sachzny but more importantly wanting to use it to 'talk' with Sachzny. He also wanted to make it absolutely clear to Callie that she was number one in his world and would always remain the most important person in his life. he loved no one more than Callie and if she had any misgivings or reservations, he wouldn't go through trying to use the link.

He sat on the couch waiting for Callie to finish getting Harry ready for bed and kissing him good night. he had fixed them both a small nightcap and some snacks of cheese and crackers.

With Harry ready for bed Callie smiled as she saw Jon sitting waiting for her. “It looks like daddy has some snacks for you Harry” she motioned to the cheese and crackers that were sitting waiting.

"Just a few Harry and then off to bed. In fact, Kirk is already waiting for you." Jon pointed out to their son. "And you don't want to keep him waiting." Jon added.

Callie smiled as she gave Harry a hug before waving him off to bed. “Down to sleep once you finish those crackers young man.” Watching Harry go she waited until the bedroom door closed before looking at Jon. “So what is it that you’re wanting to say? I can feel it bubbling away under that calm exterior of yours.”

Jon nodded and smiled at her, "You are so right, I do want to talk and tell you something. However not with you standing over there. Come over and sit down Callie." Jon replied.

Walking over to Jon, Callie took a seat next to him taking hold on his hands as she did so. “Okay, talk to me.”

Jon squeezed Callie's hand softly. "You know I share a link with Sachzny right? Well..." He continued, "I asked Imik to show me how to use it." He said quietly.

“I see” Callie nodded uncertain how she felt about that. “You could just have asked me, I’m a telepath too.” She gave him a brief smile. “So, have you tried it? Have you talked to Sachzny?”

Jon hung his head, "See? I knew you would be upset. No, I haven't tried it. Imik said I needed to be trained to discipline my thoughts. You know what? Forget it. I 'm linked with you and that is perfect." He smiled at her, "You are number one in my heart and in my mind. Nothing else matters."

“No Jon, this matters to you” Callie offered a caring smile as she held onto his hands. “You want to be able to contact Sachzny, and there’s a part of you in here..” she gently tapped his head. “..that is held for her. It’s always been there.”

He shook his head, "No." he said stubbornly. "I hurt you. Something I never wanted or thought I could ever do Callie. You are my world. You always have been. You are number one in my heart and mind. Today, tomorrow and for all eternity."

“I know that” Callie nodded. “But you want to be in touch with Sachzny, you’ll regret it if you don’t have that chance.”

"It is a chance I am willing to miss Callie." Jon answered as he felt terrible for even mentioning the link and even moreso for hurting Callie.

“You wouldn’t have raised it if you were” Callie offered her husband a knowing smile. “If you want to do it, then do it.”

"Not of it hurts you, Callie. It is all good." Jon answered soberly.

“No, it’s not!” Callie stood up with her hands on her hips. “You want this Jon! I’m not going to stand in your way. I trust you, so do it.”

Jon stood up, placed his hands on Callie's shoulders. A smile quirked across his face. "I do love you Callie and we'll see." He replied, retreating a bit from his previous stance.

Callie offered a calmer smile dropping the annoyed stance. “I love you too Jon. Whatever you decide I’m with you 100%.”

"Thank you, Callie, for your kindness, your thoughtfulness and mostly your love." Jon replied. "I'll figure it out." He assured her.

“I’ve no doubt you will” Callie smiled warmly
