Welcome to the USS Washington-E!
Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

It always seems to come around quickly, and so it is that another month has passed into the history books. May was another good month as a whole, with lots of posting, the end of one mission, the start of another, and at the end of the month, the welcoming of two new players. As we move into the summer, historically the best time for simming, things look like they are moving full speed ahead for the crew of the Washington.
Below you will find the monthly awards. I wish to congratulate all our winners. It was a great month,…

Well, another month in the books. April was a posting bonanza for virtually everyone, which made it hard to determine who was the most deserving of many awards. We had 6 players (not counting myself) that had at least 5 posts. and we had 5 players with at least 8 posts. I think we had a solid month in general, and I think based on the posting totals most people had a good time with the mission. As we move into a new month and a new mission, I hope everyone has an equally good time and has lots of…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Mon Jun 30th, 2025 @ 4:19pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Commander Jonathan Grayson
The Washington continued its journey to its destination, and Shran had decided upon a tactical assault using the disguised sensor output the Washington was now putting out as a sound ruse to get in close to the Saber before beaming over teams to the bridge, engineering, deck 4 near sickbay, and a fourth team to outside the cargo bay where he believed the crew would be held.
The Washington slowed to impulse, making its approach as if it were the freighter that sensors was telling other vessels in the area in was. It looked as if Rija's part of the…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Mon Jun 30th, 2025 @ 4:13pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Lieutenant JG James Phoenix
Ashlynn sat against the wall in pain. This wasn't her first rodeo given she was in intelligence and apart of Captain Parker's crew. The situation she found herself in was unique. For one thing her evil doppelganger was making attempts at breaking her. All of them had proven futile.
On the other hand, her best friend was alive and in grave danger because of her evil self. Due to her clearance level and the mission that led her to this moment, she already knew about her busting out the evil Shran. However this didn't stop her concern. If her counterpart…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sun Jun 29th, 2025 @ 2:41pm by Ensign Kasm
::ON::
After leaving the security chiefs office, Kasm returned to his patrol area. Upon completion of his shift, where he would normally have continued to work the second shift, proceeded to the science section.
Approaching one of the crewmen in the lab area he says "I seek a word expert."
The crewman pauses, looks down confused at the appearance of a short anthropomorphic bear. And says querulously "ummm word expert? Do you mean a linguist?"
"Linguist?" opening his personal PADD he takes a moment to converse with it then says "yes, linguist"
"Lieutenant Haversill, is one of our communication specialists,…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sun Jun 29th, 2025 @ 9:11am by Ensign Kasm & Lieutenant Imik S'Niohun
ON
Ensign Kasm. The name on the report stood out like a billboard as Imik remembered the Sinkahue detailing her to limit this being to the lower decks, but this being had been insulted and thus felt entitled to react in the way he did. Two things didn't sit well with the Security Chief, 1) the segregation of this crewman from the other crew, 2) he was security and it was her job to enroll him into the section. "S'Nihun to Kasm, report to the security office and the chief of security."
Kasm stopped moving after receiving the summons to…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Fri Jun 27th, 2025 @ 12:03am by Lieutenant Commander Deanna Celes & Lieutenant Inara Senn
Deanna's comm badge interrupted her sleep. Again, and again. It was important if she was being aroused at this time.
Deanna opened her eyes and slowly reached over to the comm panel on the table next to her bed. She spoke in a groggy almost lethargic tone, "Please tell me the ship is about to explode, because if this is a junior officer calling, they are going to be scrubbing the plasma manifolds while the engines are still running."
"Deanna, Come to my lab. this is incredible." Inara's voice noted
Deanna remained quiet for several moments. "Fine...on my way."
Deanna…

Captain's Log
Supplemental
We have once again encountered the mythic Earth deities, this time the Celtic deities alone. We were studying a stellar core fragment when we discovered a planet in its path. As we approached the planet, we learned that it was inhabited, but more remarkably, the core fragment wasn't causing the planet any issues which was strange.
The planet was inhabited by humans. These humans were originally from Earth, Ireland specifically, and their ancestors had been brought to the planet by the Celtic gods roughly a millennia ago. Upon an away team beaming down which I joined, we…

Having arrived at my new home abord the USS Washington, I find it to be both different and yet the same as my time spent on Rock at the Academy.
My first few moments here were met with the same comments as my first few moments on Rock. Though at that time there were four other of my fellows with me as we began our new life in the Academy Consortium. And the universal translators given us by the humans did not successfully translate the negativity of the words the humans had for us. Now, after we have had time…
