Mission:
A Trip to Middle Earth
Location: Sickbay
T'Plana-hath woke with a start. She was lying on a bio bed in sickbay. A star map in her head a whisper in her ear. She grabbed a medical technician, that was performing a routine scan on her, by the throat and lifted him up in the air as she swung up into a sitting position. She came to her senses as the poor technician dropped the medical tricorder he had in his hands to try and pry her hand of his throat. She released him and he fell hard on the floor. “One should restrain a Vulcan that is unconscious and not in a healing meditation” replied T’Plana-hath to the technician as he picked himself up. “I need to see the captain and if possible Lieutenant T’ghann-Travis immediately.” She said looking at the young technician. He saw a flicker of green flames in her eyes as he scrambled back away from the Vulcan. He hit his combadge =^= Captain Shran and Security report to sickbay please. =^= One could hear the panic in his voice. The technician got up and stood well away from the Vulcan. “Well done my child” she heard as a whispering chuckle “Oh did I fail to mention I brought along an old friend of ours, Ket-cheleb” she heard the rasping, hollow laugh.
Dr Perrim shot out of the CMO's office just in time to see the med-tech hit the floor. He skidded to a halt, cautiously watching the rest of the exchange whilst carefully pocketing a powerful sedative in a hypo if it were required.
"What's going on here?" He asked as the situation eased just a tad.
Lt. Logan got to sickbay and said to the doctor "What is the emergency for security here doctor?" She asked wondering what was going on. Not knowing what was needed of her, she stood there with her phaser in her hand. Just in case if the Vulcan regained consciousness as a security precaution. Although, she knows not to shoot it unless if necessary but in this instance she knows it's not necessary.
Shran entered sickbay a moment later and surveyed the scene. Logan stood next to Perrim, the two conversing, and a med tech was being tended to by a nurse while T'Plana lay on a biobed. "Somebody tell me why I have been summoned" he said in an authoritative voice.
T’Plana-hath slowly looked at Captain Shran from where she was sitting on the biobed, her eyes seemed to be a milky white, then seemed to flicker with a green flame before turning back to their normal sea green. “I called for you captain.” She replied. “I may have inadvertently caused some harm to the young technician when I came to, but one should always restrain a Vulcan if they are unconscious and not in a healing trance, we tend to come out rather violently. One second longer and I may have either crushed his windpipe, snapped his neck, or both. I must speak with you and Lieutenant T’ghann-Travis.” She grimaced and again her eyes appeared milky white, then flickered with green flame before returning to normal. “I also request you contact Vulcan and request that High Priestess and Healer Lodzhal come to the ship, temporarily to attend to me. If you need help locating her ask for Sutok or T’Shank and they will locate and relay my request.” Again she grimaced and her hands curled on the edge of the biobed put indentations on the biobed.
Shran considered what T'Plana said, both her explanation for why he was summoned and the events revolving around the medical tech, and then also the request. T'Plana's explanation was contrary to what he knew about Vulcans, particularly those he had served with in the past. He wondered if perhaps this was an issue based on her particular discipline. The healer that she was requesting may be of help, though Vulcan wasn't exactly close by at the moment. "I'll see what can be done regarding the healer" he said simply. "Shon is in her quarters. I suppose we can have her come down here if you feel it necessary." He hit his comm badge and requested her to join them in sickbay.
Perrim stepped forward, out of harms way but tricorder at the ready to try and get some readings. Something was very odd about the Ensign's behaviour, and the excuse of a Vulcan coming around wasn't cutting.
"Your readings are way off Ensign, can you tell us what's going on?" He asked gently.
T’Plana-hath struggled with the “Inner Chorus of Kal-ap-ton, his demon side Tyr-al-tep, and Ket-cheleb” as they vied for control of her mind as she turned her gaze upon Doctor Perrim. Her eyes flickered from milky white to flicker of Emerald fire before returning to normal again, in a slow measured voice she replied “My condition is out of your ability to handle doctor. Suffice it to say I am going to require a Highly Trained Healer with Psychic Training. She gritted her teeth and her hands curled even further crushing the biobed under them and causing it to go offline.
It took a while but Shon arrived in sickbay on the arms of her husband. Her motor assist bands making a slight whirr as she walked. Seth took a seat in the corner watching. “Captain” she enquired, “what is going on?”
Upon sensing the arrival of Shon and her bond mate she looked to the captain, the conflict in her eyes telling, “Captain if I may have a moment of privacy with you and Lieutenant T’ghann-Travis, her bond-mate may stay if he desires.” T’Plana-hath voice was very even and formal as she spoke. “I assure you I am not a threat to the staff.” Again she grimaced and her hands tightened against the bed.
Shran looked at Shon and then at Logan, seeing they both were steely eyed. He wasn't sure about this, but he owed it to T'Plana to give her a chance. "Very well." He walked over and took Shon's arm for support and the two slowly moved over to T'Plana as the others retreated from sight. Upon reaching T'Plana Shran quickly pulled a chair over for Shon to sit in. "Alright, so what is it that you feel is so important?"
T’Plana-hath facial expression seemed to show a great struggle was taking place, her eyes where closed and she was silently mouthing something Vulcan; suddenly her eyes opened and she appeared calm and collected. In a low, steady, whisper she began “What I am about to tell you is known by only a very select few. My father, Tolaris, and sister, T’Penna, were murdered in a terrorist attack on the Andorian Embassy on Vulcan. The act was committed by a radical splinter cell of the Vulcan Isolationist Movement. I took a sabbatical from my position in the V’Shar and hunted down the individuals who had committed the act. At the time I did not know I was being influenced by two of the ‘Inner Chorus’, Tyr-al-tep and Ket-cheleb. I hunted the Vulcans down to a cavern beneath Da’kum’Ulcha, the City of Shadows. There I gave into Ket-cheleb and murdered all six Vulcans, and buried them. I did not allow there Katra’s to flee. My mind was broken and Sutok had me sent to a monastery of Nirak to see if they could heal my mind.” Here she paused for a second, “I only tell you this because it is important for you to understand what I am going to tell you next. I am once again under the influence of the ‘Inner Chorus’; of Kal-ap-ton, his demon side Tyr-al-tep, and Ket-cheleb are not pleased with Hel, or Hela as she presented herself to you Lieutenant T’ghann-Travis. She has interfered in the lives of two who have Vulcan blood. They have provided me information to find a very ancient and rare artifact that will destroy her.” With that she paused to see what Captain Shran and Lieutenant T’ghann-Travis had to say.
If Shon could have sat down she would have done but, seeing as she was already sitting all she could do was whisper “Captain?” And grab his arm.
T’Plana-hath looked Lieutenant Shoniara straight in the eyes, T’Plana’s own eye shifted from her usual sea green to a milky white the a small flicker of emerald green fire appeared before returning to normal. She cocked her head as if listening to a voice. “You are pregnant with twins.” she stated as fact, she then cocked her head again, nodding this time. Her right eye turned milky white and her left eye was an emerald flame “Kal-ap-ton, his demon side Tyr-al-tep, and Ket-cheleb are all in agreement. As of now Shoniara T’ghann-Travis, her daughter Shasta T’ghann-Travis and the twins are under the protection of of Kal-ap-ton, his demon side Tyr-al-tep, and Ket-cheleb. None will see them that seek to harm them.” T’Plana-hath in a dual voices, one sounding like a crackling, ever thirsting flame and the other hollow and spectral stated. With that pronouncement T’Plana-hath’s eyes returned to normal. “Captain I must implore you contact Vulcan and request that High Priestess and Healer Lodzhal; I can hold the ‘Inner Chorus’ at bay and control them for now as they seem to be occupied at the moment, but I am unsure for how long.” asked T’Plana-hath in a low whisper.
Shran remained as stoic in appearance as possible. He didn't care for Vulcan mysticism, but he had to deal with it from time to time. This seemed to be one of those times. The fact that T'Plana now mentioned Hela as well was perhaps more than mere coincidence. "As I said, I will see what I can do." Based on some of the things that had just been said, he wondered if perhaps a counselor might be needed.
Shran hit his comm badge, =^=Bridge, contact Vulcan, ask for a High Priestess Lodzhal. Inform me when you have her.=^=
He looked at both T'Plana and Shon, "I think we should allow both of you to rest at this time. Perhaps after I speak with this Priestess we will talk more."
Shon kept her hand tight on Shran’s sleeve not letting go, she had not heard him and was searching T’Plana’s face trying to decide if this was a load of waffle, she hardly dared hope. “Possibly if I melded with you?” She asked her.
Shran looked at Shon, "I wouldn't advise that at this time. You are both still recovering. I won't sanction such a thing at this time."
“Yes Captain I understand, do you wish me to stay here or shall I return to our quarters?” She asked.
"I'll escort you back to your quarters." He looked at T'Plana, "I am going to leave a security officer here, just in case. I'm not comfortable with this Vulcan mysticism going on in your mind." He turned to look for Logan or another security officer.
Phoenix rushed into the medical bay, out of breath. "Sorry I'm late, I was on the other side of the ship doing my rounds. I got here as fast as I could. What's the issue?"
Shran walked over, "Ensign, I want you to remain here as a guard for T'Plana. Don't let anyone near her other than medical personnel for the time being."
"Aye Captain" James nodded as he moved into a more guarded position around T'Plana. He made a mental note of what was on his utility belt to ensure he had it in the event that the need would arise.
Dr Perrim harrumphed at the 'out of your ability' comment but remained close by in case he was needed, a powerful sedative nestled within his pocket for easy reach should it be required.
Shran stopped to speak with Perrim, "Doctor, keep a close eye on T'Plana. I am leaving security here just in case. I will return once I have spoken with the requested Vulcan official." With that, Shran escorted Shon out.
