Ayana looked to Sam in hopes that she would put an end to this current upheaval by putting Maddison back under sedation. Him being awake at this point was only causing more trouble, and they had plenty to worry about already.

Sam moved quickly, shaken from her own experience and neatly injected Maddison with a powerful sedative that would keep him out for some time, neutralizing his abilities.

Callie was sat with her head in her hands feeling like a right fool, she’d tried to reach out to Maddison, to take his hand but she’d been stopped from doing so.

Shon knelt by Callie and put her arms around her shoulder. “How are you holding up my friend?” She asked.

“Apart from feeling like a fool, believing him..” she nodded towards Maddison. “He’s a descendant of mine Shon, I want to believe that there’s some good in him. He must be here for a good reason, I need to know what it is.”

"He's manipulative and trying to get himself out the situation by whatever means necessary" Sam challenged gently.

Callie nodded. “I know that’s true Sam, but either way we need to know what Maddison knows.” She looked towards him, even knowing he was still trying to fight the sedation in his system. She lowered her voice. “Sam if you can fully sedate him, properly put him under, I might be able to get into his head while he’s out. To find out what he knows.”

Ayana interjected, "Not sure that is wise. If this guy is like the other one, he could cause you serious harm even unconscious. Deanna had difficulty with the other one and not to be too blunt, but she is a full Betazoid and trained in telepathic probes. I don't want you getting hurt."

Callie nodded. “I guess that’s off the menu then” she offered Ayana a smile. “I don’t just have myself to think about.”

"That's right, and we don't need any unnecessary risks right at the moment" Sam cautioned, double checking that Maddison was well and truly under. "We need to get him back to the Washington so I can get a better analysis on him"

“Agreed” Callie stood up a more professional manner taking over from her personal opinions. “I want to be there, not just because Maddison is my descendant, but in my capacity as ship’s Counsellor.”

Ayana went to the communications controls and contacted the Washington, informing them they needed to transport Maddison up to the ship, along with all of them. The captain confirmed and notified them that they needed to transport a server to the shuttle. Deanna had indicated they had additional materials to gather as well, but they would transport all of it to the shuttle before they returned to the Washington. Once Ayana had the information and had arranged transport, she relayed the information to the others and they prepared for transport. Ayana followed this up by making contact with Deanna and transporting the server to the shuttle. She also let Deanna know that she and Jon were needed back on the Washington and was informed they would be there shortly.

"Understood, but until I can work out a sure fire way to stop his telepathy, he's staying sedated. I'll need to rejig the neural inhibitors we current use as I think he is too powerful for them" Sam explained.

Callie stood looking at Maddison, before looking at Sam. “If he’s a descendant of mine & Deanna’s then he shouldn’t be anymore powerful than a full Betazoid, depending on who Deanna has a child with of course.” She shrugged her shoulders. “What do the scans say?”

Ayana was excited to learn more about Maddison's background, but she wanted to keep things under control from a security perspective. He was dangerous, both physically and mentally. They were about to beam up to the Washington as well, and she wanted to remind everyone of that as the transporter chief beeped in to notify about the transport. "Everyone, prepare for transport."
