Mission: Tal Shiar
Location: Various
Timeline: Present

:ON:

{Transporter Room One}

The six officers had gathered in the Washington’s main transporter room. Lisa had issued each person with the black covert uniforms, and the self destructing hand phasers that only worked to their specific hand-prints. “Remember, if anyone else grips your personal phaser for more than 5 seconds, they’ll never be able to play catch again. Understood?”

The gathered crew had all appeared impressed with Lisa’s modifications to the phasers, which pleased her. Thinking on her feet and being resourceful was one of her main strengths. The Swedish woman then covered her head with a balaclava, leaving only her eyes revealed.

The Captain’s voice spoke over the comm-system, “Shran to Grayson, you are a go. Good luck commander, to all of you.”

Sam sucked in a deep breath, her phaser securely in its hoster and a small emergency med kit strapped to her opposite leg. A tricorder was tucked into its pouch, already set with the away teams biometric data in case she needed it. They were as ready as they were going to be. At Jon's indication she stepped into the transporter platform and waited for the transport.

Jon looked to Sam and then Olsson even as he took a steadying breath. it was time to face his doubts and put them to rest. "Lets do this." He said to the others.

" Yes Sir" Sam replied with confidence that she didn't really feel. Truth be told she didn't think any of them were overly confident in this mission - it all seemed a little too sketchy. But orders were orders and they would do their best no matter what

‘Alpha team’ led by Commander Grayson stepped onto transporter pads first. With a quick nod from the commander to the chief petty officer on duty at the transporter controls, Grayson, Howard and Olsson were gone.

Stonebridge smiled. Looked at his team and waited until the first team were gone. They then stepped on the pad and were ready for transport.

Within moments ‘Beta team’ were enveloped by the shimmering blue glow of the transporter, and they too were gone.

{Outskirts of the Tal Shiar compound}

Commander Grayson and his team found themselves materialising on quite rough and rocky terrain. Seconds later, the second team arrived.

Sam glanced around at their surroundings, not the place she'd pick for a vacation anytime soon. A quick heads count and visual inspection proved all members of the away team were present and in good form. Now all they had to do was pull off the impossible.

Jon looked over their arrival spot. "Remind not to book this for a vacation getaway." He quipped. Even as he saw that all members of the away teams were present.

" The hospitality leaves something to be desired" Sam mused quietly as she looked around at their surroundings. Hostile didn't begin to describe it. Then again - if you were going to hide a secret base somewhere, you wouldn't waste it on a nice environment that people frequented. She looked towards Jon and Lt Stonebridge and waited for instructions.

Grayson Jones, the newly appointed Chief Engineer was staring around the room making assessments of all that was around, it appeared to be very well kept and maintained. He too waited for instructions on what to do next.

Celes ran her tricorder over the area. "All clear. We should move. We only have so much time before daybreak, and the Washington can only stay hidden for so long as well."

Lisa checked over her hand phaser once again, ensuring that the setting was still set to stun. They might be about to enter a Tal Shiar complex, but they didn’t want to kill anyone. At least, not if they could help it. Her experience with tactics would surely come in handy over the course of the next couple of hours.

The officers moved quickly through the rocky terrain, and in what seemed like only a short time found themselves at their destination.

"The sensors for this entrance have been neutralized for the time being" said Celes. She looked to Jon and Stonebridge, "We seem to be ready for our incursion. We should signal the captain."

"Make it so Deanna." Jon replied decisively, "Burst transmission. Nonrepeating."

Celes sent the signal to the Washington. Shran then ordered the signal be sent to their inside operative. He sat and waited the hear from the teams once the mission was complete...he hoped.

Sam steadied her nerves, mentally preparing herself for what they were about to do. She was ready for whatever this compound was to throw at them. Hopefully what they would find was not what was rumored. If biogenic weapons were involved things could get very bad very quickly. It would only take a flick of a switch before the entire compound would be infected with whatever evilness they were cooking up.

A few moments passed and then the entrance opened. The teams were on the clock.
