Mission: Genetic Purity
Location: Neues Deutschland

An hour had passed since Shran had his meeting with his officers. He sat impatiently on the bridge waiting for the alterations to be made so they could proceed with the rescue operations. "Are we ready?" he questioned.

"Imik and Lt O'Connor report they will be done with the modifications in 5 minutes. He has made the preparations with the transporter, but he stresses that he cannot guarantee that he'll be able to transport everyone out" Deanna replied.

"Have the two rescue teams stand by" Shran ordered.

"Cmdr Smith's team is in transporter room 2, and Lt Wyatt's team is in transporter room 3, both teams on hot stand by" Deanna replied.

Dr. Goebbels entered the lab and looked at Callie. "Your companion, Inara, she is quite interesting. Uncooperative just as you are, defiant. She seems to enjoy suffering. She likes to blame others for things. You are not like her. You own up to your faults. You will tell me what I wish to know I believe."

Callie shook her head. “I won’t tell you anything! I’m a Starfleet Officer, I will not betray my crew. If that isn’t good enough for you, feel free to turn my mind to Swiss cheese at which point you’ll still learn nothing.”

"Oh pet. Your thinking is so limited. I may not learn anything but what about your Jon? What will he learn?" She snapped her fingers, and an aide came through the door pushing a frail looking man in a wheelchair. "This is Helmut pet. He has a very specific set of skills. Which you will soon find out. But first...." Goebbels reached over Callie and fastened a strap snugly across her neck to keep Callie from raising her head. She could turn it left or right but raising it was out of the question.

Callie was starting to feel panicked but she couldn’t let Goebbels see it, she couldn’t betray Jon or any of her shipmates all she had left was to hope that rescue would come. “Where is he? Where is Jon?” She looked towards Goebbels.

Goebbels smirked, "He is with Oberth and Hess." She replied simply as she looked at Callie's slender frame strapped down tightly to the bed. "Helmut is here to help you." She walked over to where Helmut's wheelchair was facing Callie and stared intently, unblinking at her. Goebbels walked over and while looking at Callie whispered in his ear. "You will see Jon soon." She smiled. As the room faded from existence and the next thing Callie knows she is in her and Jon's bedroom aboard the Washington. She is in a sexy see thru nighty and lying on their bed. "Callie?" Jon's voice calls to her.

Callie looked around frowning at the change of environment, it didn’t seem right and yet it did, her defences dropped as she answered his call. “Jon!? Where are you!?”

A moment later Jon appeared in the doorway. He was bare chested and wearing pajama pants. 'Here I am daring. Where did you think I was."

Callie couldn’t help but smile, but at the same time it didn’t feel real. “I thought we were…that I was…” she paused, was she dreaming all along? She was confused, but seeing Jon added comfort. “I’m sorry Imzadi.”

Jon moved to sit on the side of the bed, he took her hand in his and kissed it softly. "What's wrong sweetie, You look confused? Did you have a bad dream?"

The kiss was so real, and the softness of Jon’s hand it all went a long way to convincing her that this was real. “I think so, but it all seemed so real.” She held onto his hand feeling comforted by his presence. “It’s better now that you’re here.”

"Still thinking about the Nazis, we encountered sweetie?" Forget them your safe now." He stroked her hand, "Want to talk about it?"

Callie shook her head. “No, I just want to forget about it. My head hurts just thinking about it.” She lay down motioning for Jon to join her. “All I want right now is to be safe with you.”

"Of course, darling. I can only imagine what you went through at the hands of the vile woman." Jon answered as he came to lie down next to Callie.

Callie cuddled up, laying her head on Jon’s shoulder. “But how did we get away? I don’t remember us leaving, or returning to the ship. How is that possible?”

Jon hesitated before replying. "You were knocked out when we were rescued. Don't trouble yourself with that now. Doctors said it would be alright for you to recover here in our cabin."

Callie nodded. “I guess that could explain it” she frowned uncertain sitting up on the bed. “I was strapped down to a bed, there was a man…in a wheelchair…”

Jon looked at her, "A man in a wheelchair? What did he want? What did you tell him Callie?"

Callie gazed at Jon. “They wanted to know more about what I could do, but you know very well I wouldn’t tell him anything! I hid away everything so they’d have nothing to use.”

Jon nodded but looked concerned. "I know and i believe you but charges have been made that you passed on classified information to them to spare yourself any severe torture."

“What!?” Callie leapt up turning to face Jon. “I didn’t! I wouldn’t!! You know I wouldn’t Jon!” She started pacing back and forth. “This isn’t right…none of this is right!”

"Callie, I believe you but the others, they wanted to put you in the brig. But i didn't think you would want to go in what you are wearing. So, you have to be confined here."

“Confined? You’re willing to keep me confined!?” Callie stood defiantly looking at Jon. “No, this isn’t you, you would never allow this! You’ve always been there for me!” She shook her head. “You’re in my head…GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!”

Jon's smile changed to one that was predatory in nature. "Callie honey, what are you talking about" as he moved closer to her. "You're distraught."

As if things couldn't get any worse, suddenly before Goebbels eyes Callie dematerialized in a blue hue. "Was ist das?" she questioned aloud.

Dr. Bismarck was a massive hulk of a man. He paced slowly as he looked at Kate and Ayana strapped down to operating tables. "What has Frau Goebbels sent me today? It looks like a Nubian female and some sort of orientalisch child. Tell me child, what gender are you?"

Kate squinted at the man and shook her head as best she could. Kate might have been slender and petite, but she was obviously a female.

"Making fun of my flat chest is part of your torture?" Kate whispered. It wasn't even a rhetorical question. Kate felt the tendons in her neck tighten at the insult. She sighed and looked up at him from the table with her dark eyes.

"Why are you doing this? If you're mad about the incident in orbit, I can promise you it wasn't my call. Strapping me to a table as if trying to get some kind of information out of me that I wouldn't want to give you as obscene considering I have nothing to hide that you would want from me. So, really... What's the biggie?" Kate asked. "I'm Human, just like you so there's nothing special about me. Why are you treating us in this manner to justify the means of your goal?"

Bismarck offered a soft chuckle to Kate's dissembling. He took hold of a device activated it. It was some sort of scanning device. "Female. Healthy. I see you have many eggs that can be harvested. We'll start there."

"Leave her alone! If you want to cut on somebody, come to me!" Ayana exclaimed.

Kate squinted up at Bismarck. "Wait, this don't even make sense. You people want pure blond hair and blue eyes. My eggs are going to give you like, brunette- or black-haired kids with slanty eyes and screw up your entire repertoire... You still never answered my question... What do you really want? Cutting into me isn't going to help your civilization any because I'm like -- the anthesis of what you seek in your culture, right?"

Kate still shivered in her restraints. "Also, I'm in shock. You want me dying on you while you cut into me?"

"You dying is of no consequence. We can always clone you. Which in a way is what your eggs are for. Fresh DNA to develop and experiment on" Bismarck said nonchalantly.

"Monsters. All of you. Leave her alone. If you need to butcher someone, then butcher me" Ayana pleaded.

Bismarck looked at Ayana. "Now why would I disfigure such a beautiful specimen? No, I will be doing something different with you, but first, I need to work on your little friend here. Now, I do apologize, but she will scream, at least until she passes out."

Kate closed her eyes and held her breath. She assumed from what was said that Bismarck wasn't going to use any anesthesia for the procedure. She wondered if she would run into Q again if she died. They did have a unique deal but dying unnaturally wasn't part of it, so she guessed, at least it was a fun run -- not as long as she'd wanted it to be, but that was okay. Kate prepared herself to endure the pain and hope that maybe somehow at the very least, maybe she could get out of it and receive the Darwin Award for being disallowed the ability to partake in the gene pool.

With a blade he cut open Kate's uniform tunic, followed by the undershirt he found there. He was now looking at her bare abdomen and he picked up a new tool. He began to whistle a tune, something that was familiar, Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries." As he got into the music he was whistling and humming, he picked up a new tool, a laser scalpel, and began making incisions into Kate, which of course made the woman cry out in pain, which he ignored. "Here we are. I see your uterus, ja, and follow up the fallopian tube and there it is, your first ovary. Now we remove that to harvest Sie eggs. Doing well leipchen?"

Kate's cries weren't audibly coherent as much as they were wails of agony as she felt the searing hot laser scalpel burn through her nerves as her skin obliterated away into epidermal tares that pulled apart to reveal her inner anatomy. At this point, it didn't matter what the doctor was saying, she couldn't understand anything other than the pain. There was no way to put words together even if she wanted to speak. Her slender body pulled against the restraints in a futile effort not to escape, but rather to simply curl up to avoid more torture. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as her mouth stretched in agony as all she could expel was that terrible scream.

"You sick bastard! I'm going to repay you in spades for hurting that girl!" Ayana exclaimed.

Bismarck looked over at Ayana and smiled vilely and then looked back at his bloodied patient to continue his butchery, only to see her dematerializing in a blue hue. "Was ist das?" he questioned.

Oberth looked frustrated with Jon. Hess looked amused. Seth and Phoenix were in bad shape, having been severely injured time and time again by the two madmen. Through it all though, so far none of them had broken. "How much longer do you think your people will survive Kommandant? Can you live with their deaths?"

Hess leaned over to speak with his colleague, "Vielleicht sollten wir unsere beiden Talente auf nur eines davon konzentrieren."

"Das könnte funktionieren" Oberth replied. He looked at Phoenix, "Ich denke, er wäre das richtige Thema."

Jon's uniform was soaked in sweat as he looked at Oberth. "They knew the risks and if it means their deaths to hold true to their ideals they will." he said firmly.

"We shall see" Oberth replied. They slid Phoenix and his chair back from the table. Suddenly his legs were set aflame as his body was wracked with pain as Oberth began electrocuting him. "All you have to do is tell us how to access the computers on your shuttle to end your pain" Oberth said sinisterly.

Phoenix started laughing hysterically. Perhaps it was the pain. These idiots really thought they had the upper hand, even if the Lieutenant was damn near close to death. No, he wasn't going to give them the information. Even if it meant his demise. Then again, they needed to leave Phoenix and his colleagues alive if they wanted any information.

The door opened and the Chancellor. "Their ship has returned and is attacking us. They are taking out our weapon batteries. We need to signal them, show them that we will not allow them to attack us. Bring these three."

The Lieutenant smirked through the pain. He was hysterical but due to the Chancellor's arrival any new pain to him had subsided. James looked to Jon and Seth before his gaze settled on the Chancellor. "That my friend" he took a breath, "Is going to be your reckoning" he muttered.

Suddenly Seth and Phoenix dematerialized in a blue hue. The Chancellor looked at Oberth and Hess, "Was passiert?"
