Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

The end of the summer has arrived with August now in the books. Always amazes me how quickly the summer months seem to pass, especially now in my adult years. Some might think I would feel differently as a parent, but all of us with kids know the time goes by far too quickly.

It was strange, as these hills were the same hills that the away team was beginning to explore before the red dragon had swooped down from the mountains in the distance, and before they encountered the green dragon in the forest. He moved stealthily but purposely as he stalked his quarry. It was important to take them by surprise. He moved lightly in between the furnishings careful not to disrupt or knock anything over. he was attentive to any sound he made that might alert his quarry to his presence. The remaining members of the away team exited the forest once again, and as they did the gargantuan copper dragon let loose a mighty roar before bathing the forest in flame once more, pushing back the green dragon. The flames seemed to be more than the green dragon was willing to deal with, and it slowly retreated deeper into the forest until it was soon out of sight of the away team.

I have yet to receive any report from the Sinkahue about our discourse on Dragons or other possible infringements, this could be taken one of two ways. 1) I will have to depart this vessel and cease my career in Starfleet. 2) The Sinkahue still has not decided the best course of action towards me on our differences.

So I tried to run the numbers on my kill count the other day… Full analytical breakdown, the whole thing, and the universe just laughed at me.

It has been a few weeks since I took on my new job as Commander Imik's second in command. I never thought I would be promoted twice in a year. It's not impossible, but it is most definitely an uncommon occurrence. I'm not complaining by any means, I just feel that I've surprised myself.
