Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

On this day, September 8, 1966 the debut of the original Star Trek with the TOS crew we have always loved came on and changed the world forever. Capt Kirk, Spock, Dr. McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov gave us 3 seasons worth of missions in which we saw Gene Roddenberry's vision of the future with humanity boldly going into the final frontier.

The end of the summer has arrived with August now in the books. Always amazes me how quickly the summer months seem to pass, especially now in my adult years. Some might think I would feel differently as a parent, but all of us with kids know the time goes by far too quickly.

I keep thinking that if I arrange the facts in the right order, they will become something I recognize.
We went to this terrible planet expecting a survey, a conversation with the locals, perhaps a few odd readings to explain the storms. Instead we found a town that emptied before nightfall, a forest full of stakes, and things from old Earth stories moving under the moon. Wendigo. Lycans. Vampires. Dracula. Captain's Log,
Callie successfully completed the Bridge Officer Assessment for Command, as did Lt Phoenix. I anticipated Callie completing the assessment and pushed through her promotion. As of today, she is now a Commander. I am allowing her to ease into command, placing her on the Gamma shift rotation.
As for Lt Phoenix, he is now the Assistant Chief of Security. He has thus far performed his duties admirably.

I have yet to receive any report from the Sinkahue about our discourse on Dragons or other possible infringements, this could be taken one of two ways. 1) I will have to depart this vessel and cease my career in Starfleet. 2) The Sinkahue still has not decided the best course of action towards me on our differences.

My time on this vessel maybe soon come to an end, as both myself and the Sinkahue are now at odds with one another. A simple matter on which neither of us are prepared to alter our stance, at one time I would have never challenged in this fashion but now I feel I must. So I tried to run the numbers on my kill count the other day… Full analytical breakdown, the whole thing, and the universe just laughed at me.
Inconclusive.
