Welcome to the USS Washington-E!

Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

I thank everyone for great work and look forward to seeing what else we'll see happen in this mission that everyone seems to be getting in on. Below are the awards for June. » May Awards

Posted on Mon Jun 2nd, 2025 @ 12:32pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar in General News

It always seems to come around quickly, and so it is that another month has passed into the history books. May was another good month as a whole, with lots of posting, the end of one mission, the start of another, and at the end of the month, the welcoming of two new players. As we move into the summer, historically the best time for simming, things look like they are moving full speed ahead for the crew of the Washington.

Below you will find the monthly awards. I wish to congratulate all our winners. It was a great month,…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Mon Jul 21st, 2025 @ 10:37pm by Lieutenant Ayana Hillis & Lieutenant Aidan O'Connor & Lieutenant Ánderijá "Rija" Rautajärvi & Lieutenant JG James Phoenix

Ayana and her team stood ready to enter Engineering. They had no idea what they were going into, but that didn't matter. They had to retake Engineering, and they would. That was all any of them could think at this moment. The doors opened and they rushed forward, weapons at the ready.

Ayana's team entered Engineering and the moment they did, disruptor blasts hit all around them. Ayana fired at the first person she saw, hitting him in the chest, dropping him. She pushed forward with Black, the two of them clearing a total of three hostiles. Cullen and Swan…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Sat Jul 19th, 2025 @ 9:34am by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Lieutenant Commander Shoniara T’ghann-Travis MD & Lieutenant Inara Senn & Lieutenant Wyatt Steele & Lieutenant JG Vienna Steele

One the Washington, Cmdr Smith and his team and Lt Steele and his team readied for the assault. Everyone was dressed in E.V. suits, rifles at the ready. Smith and his team were as calm as could be, but he knew his plan was a bit unorthodox, so he checked with Wyatt to make sure they were ready for it. "Everything is going to be fine lieutenant. Not something you may have practiced before, but I promise you, this is going to work. Just remember, the moment you materialize, activate your boots." He offered one of those Cheshire grins he…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Fri Jul 18th, 2025 @ 5:33pm by Lieutenant JG James Phoenix

Maintenance closets were more rare in the 24th Century. They could be used for their designated purpose, such as housing access points for jefferies tubes or other engineering items. They could also be used as janitorial closets. Starships needed to stay clean when a mission didn't go south after all.

There was a third purpose. Hiding. This was one of the one consistent uses of these rooms. They were perfect for hiding ones self from blood thirsty terrans.

The specific room Ashlynn was in was a similar shape to Harry's room from the first Harry Potter book. A series she…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Thu Jul 17th, 2025 @ 12:34pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Lieutenant Commander Shoniara T’ghann-Travis MD & Lieutenant Inara Senn

The room was freezing. Capt Parker knew she would only have another few minutes of effective use of her hands before the cold took its toll. With Shran and Deanna absent and Shon and the EMH occupied with providing medical care to this person, this Inara, she knew she had to free herself. She diligently worked, though the work was slow as her hands were growing numb, but she was close to unlocking the slave collar.

Shon looked at the tortured Inara and something inside her changed, almost as if the sun was trying to rise, peeking over the horizon.…

Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Posted on Wed Jul 16th, 2025 @ 11:03pm by Lieutenant Ayana Hillis & Lieutenant Aidan O'Connor & Lieutenant Ánderijá "Rija" Rautajärvi & Lieutenant JG James Phoenix

The security team under the command of Lt Granger had made preparations while Aidan and the other engineers had gone to get phasers from the weapons locker. She didn't necessarily want the engineers in this fight, but Aidan outranked her, and honestly, not knowing how many enemies they would be facing, the more people they had with phasers on their side the better.

As they prepared to enter Engineering, Lt Hillis arrived with Phoenix. "What's going on here?" questioned Ayana.

"We arrived and the intruders had already laid claim to Engineering. Lt O'Connor had evacuated most of the engineering staff,…

» Another Mythic Encounter

Posted on Thu Jun 12th, 2025 @ 10:12pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar

Captain's Log
Supplemental

We have once again encountered the mythic Earth deities, this time the Celtic deities alone. We were studying a stellar core fragment when we discovered a planet in its path. As we approached the planet, we learned that it was inhabited, but more remarkably, the core fragment wasn't causing the planet any issues which was strange.

The planet was inhabited by humans. These humans were originally from Earth, Ireland specifically, and their ancestors had been brought to the planet by the Celtic gods roughly a millennia ago. Upon an away team beaming down which I joined, we…

Posted on Sun Jun 8th, 2025 @ 5:55pm by Ensign Kasm

Having arrived at my new home abord the USS Washington, I find it to be both different and yet the same as my time spent on Rock at the Academy.

My first few moments here were met with the same comments as my first few moments on Rock. Though at that time there were four other of my fellows with me as we began our new life in the Academy Consortium. And the universal translators given us by the humans did not successfully translate the negativity of the words the humans had for us. Now, after we have had time…
